I love that you are doing things the right way (if we choose to call right, to follow the path of modifications that look more oem alike and that respect the original style of the car with your personal twist on it), constructive modification.
So, I like so much this build over all the builds that those assisting the meet could have done.
Less trasher e30s stuffed with fashionable mods and more of this, inteligent, and think about projects!
Homologate the car as soon as you can, put everything you want and do it once. Laboratories are closing the faucets... you'll have more problems the more time you last to homologate it.
