  • B2000 Work Truck Project

Hey whats up everyone! I've been lurking these forums for years but never had any reason to post until now. I recently picked up this gem. 1987 Mazda B2000 163k miles. My plans are to make it a nice looking stanced work truck. I want it low but functional. I am planning on staying static. I have a few pics but nothing too in depth just yet.

So far its dropped on 3in rear blocks and I believe adjusted torshion bars in the front. I'm hoping to do drop spindles and remove a few springs in the rear.

I picked these up for $75 and it looks like quite a few people on here are rocking the same wheel. 16x9 butr not sure of offset. Looks like it'll poke a bit. hopefully gonna test fit soon. I'm going to polish them before mounting of course.

    mock up before and after

Also got this wheel to install after I get some some custom painting done.

I also swapped out the headlights with another set that came with the truck...not sure if I like them.

The truck likes to bong gas which is neat...lol

The interior is pretty flawless besides being a little dirty. Not sure which way I want to go with it.

The engine is super clean and runs like a top. Planning on weber carb, headers, and custom exhaust.

All in All a pretty fantastic truck in my opinion. I can't wait to get working on it. My goal is to stay away from the 90's minitruck look and keep the JDM flavor.

lol no Rotary. I'm not planning on doing much to the motor. Just some cosmetics and make it a good work truck

Well a blown head gasket is gonna get in the way of any plans for the next few weeks. Prob just gonna do a weber carb and header while I have the head off. Hopefully I didn't warp my head. I'd really rather not buy a new one. money money money

I am enjoying driving my wrx wagon again though lol. Missed that turbo spool!

Well I've been working on and off with the truck. Finally got the head off. Clearly the gasket was my issue lol. I'm just gonna order a new head instead of rebuilding it. Machine shop would chard about $200 to do what I'd want and a fully built head is $360 shipped to my door.
