21st Birthday Benz

So for my 21st birthday I bought myself a 1992 Mercedes 190e for $400. Runs, Drives, Interior is cleannnnnn. Tomorrow I'm replacing the fuel pumps, fuel filter, oil change, and a general inspection in my college auto shop!
Here are photos from the seller. I'm taking it to the self car wash after auto shop tomorrow and I'll take some better photos. As of right now I'm just going to get it daily drive able. Then comes the fun stuff!

Well I still have my truck (His name is Riot) so I'm going to be driving him until I get the Mercedes to pass smog. Then I'll park the truck (gas costs way too much in that beast) and start driving the Mercedes! Pic of Riot.

Thanks! and I'm making the benz as reliable as possible because my parents won't let me have 2 vehicles on the insurance even though I pay them. We have 5 cars on it right now and my younger brother's about to get his license and a car so my parents don't want 7 cars on our insurance =(

I go to school 36 hours a week and work for my dad. So they still pay for everything. But I just started my own insurance policy with USAA. It's only $76 a month for my truck and the Benz! I'm pretty excited. So I have some updates on the Benz too. On Saturday in autoshop I installed new sparkplugs, plug wires, fuel pumps, fuel filter, oil change, transmission filter and fluid, fixed all the burnt out bulbs, replaced interior lights with leds, and installed a Sony headunit with 4 Brand new Kenwood speakers. I'm pretty happy. It runs pretty good just needs a little more tlc.

It runs a little rough so I'm going to do a compression test on it in auto shop on saturday and check the timing. Hopefully everything checks out okay!

So this weekend in auto shop I did a compression test and it was better then I expected!
Cylinder 1 175 psi
Cylinder 2 175 psi
Cylinder 3 175 psi
Cylinder 4 160 psi
Cylinder 5 170 psi
Cylinder 6 180 psi





Also the coil was shorting out so I fixed that and it runs a little better now. It still leaks fuel so I'm going to order all new copper oem gaskets so it stops leaking. It needs a new egr valve, exhaust including cat and muffler, and a new cap and rotor. After that is shouldn't have any problems running!

Those are brand new spark plugs from autozone that I put in 2 weeks ago. I don't know what brand they are I just know they were the cheapest ones because I'm broke.
