Well hi there.
As you can guess, my name's Phil. I'm a videographer and a weeaboo that decided to make my fairly clean standard car impractical and silly. I still love it even if I am looking over my shoulder 24/7 for HWP to not pull me over.
Should of made this thread to begin with before I started installing but oh well who cares.
This is my first car, yes my parents did buy the car for me, got no shame in it.
As for getting the car, it started out with me pointing out to my parents that our old E36 323i had x amount of problems, so we basically had to get rid of it. We went past a Subaru dealership and I told mum jokingly "you should get a WRX to replace it!", but she thought they were too common, so I showed her a BRZ and an 86. Next thing I know, we're heading to Toyota for a test drive, and 1 week later ordered the car. Received it August 23rd of 2013, to which my mum drove it up until I got my P plates a few months ago (Australian graded licencing thing, never mind this international people) in all of it's stock glory.

Now for the fun stuff (ie. after I got my licence).
Being that I have absolutely 0 mechanical experience, I started out small. Very small. We Are Likewise Deathgrip.

Honestly, I was very surprised how different a driving feel you can get out of simply changing the shift knob could make. This stayed as my only "mod" for about 2 months, being taken out to Great Ocean Road and Lake Mountain (I drove this when the road was closed for a club event I was filming, I think this woke me up to driving fast on public roads is pretty straight up silly), but then things started to happen. I don't have any photos of it, but I ended up getting @SebastienPeek's Bride VIOS 3 Carbon Shell for an absolute steal and putting that in, whilst at the same time, ordering my Broadway Static coilovers with overkill spring rates as I had 0 clue what I was getting into. The seat was an absolute prick of a thing to put in as for whatever reason, my seat rails did not fit correctly but whatever, I'm contemplating selling the thing now anyway. Coilovers arrived 3 days later and went in the next day.
Unfortunately, they weren't sent with the shorter inserts to begin with, so when they first went in (mind the out of focus shot), the rears maxed out was only a minor drop and I was somewhat disappointed.

The fronts were actually also so low that they were rubbing the top of the wheel wells, and I drove over 100km's to my cousins house with it constantly rubbing just to show him the car. Obviously I had to raise it slightly, but also got into contact with Jay from Broadway and he sent me out some new rear inserts so that I could get it sitting where it is today! Top customer service.

This is where some of you might rage at me pretty hard. I test fitted Seb's beautiful Prima Donna RS', but due to a sudden gap in work that left me with absolutely nothing to do for MONTHS, buying them was out of the question, and to be honest, as nice as they were, RS' really aren't for me, as I prefer old school Japanese drift car styling, but either way, here is some pure porn for your eyes.

Amazing that the car can fit 18x11's on the rear like that with really no effort.
That's where I finish for now until I can get some more work to pay for some nice wheels, besides getting my sharkfin antenna painted and put on, and getting the hit and run rear bumper sorted (can see my touchup job on one of the rs test fit if you look closely). This thread probably wont be updated too often as there isn't much I really need / can do with this being a P Plater, but hey, who cares. I'll just spam photos every now and then.
