Shibui (渋い) (adjective), shibumi (渋み) (noun), or shibusa (渋さ) (noun) are Japanese words which refer to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty. Like other Japanese aesthetic terms, such as iki and wabi-sabi, shibui can apply to a wide variety of subjects, not just art or fashion.
A buddy of mine introduced me to the term shibui, and even though it's a Japanese concept, I really like the meaning and feel of it.
I bought a '97 W210 sedan late last year and have made it this far. The car only had 98,xxx original when I bought it. Sadly, it was only sold off since it had a bad transmission. I did the right thing after purchase and attempted to drive it home.

While getting a fresh trans rebuild, I went ahead and ordered some fun stuff...

Finished that all up...

Picked up some wheels that needed a little bit of work...

Picked up skirts and then paint matched lower trims...

Along the way, added new audio components and am still working on interior mods.
And now we're here...
