Bought an 2000 e46 323i with 137k miles.. Just to get my license back and daily. Not in the best shape. Has a little rust on the drivers a door, fender lip folder out, kidneys missing, broken/missing trim here and there, scratches and dents, trunk key lock was smashed in. Needed tires and brakes. And one spot of where the rear sub frame mounts is broken..

While going to get inspected the check engine light came on of course haha. For an o2 sensor i have to fix now and I can't get the coolant light to go out. The PO said a rad house was leaking and he replaced them both but when it was leaking he added water, also it has the orange coolant idk if that matters. I think its at the right level but light stays on..

same problem with mine...light stays on even tho level is right on the money. could be either the tank ou the sensor itself. the sensor you can swap it with the washer fluid one, its the same to see if thats your problem.

Turns out there's a hairline crack in the neck coming off the rad where the top hose attaches. Just got my license back and was able to drive and check it out

Replaced the radiator and tank. No more leaks and no more light. Need to get the subframe mounts fixed. Just bought an older Toyota pick up to drive more time to work on this
