  • New e28 from MD

Hey all, I have a 1984 BMW 528e. It's got a few bugs that I'm trying to work out. I'm riding on the anti-stance wheels, though. 14" BBS basketweaves, with mounds of tire. I'm hoping to get a new set of wheels soon, and eventually get the right size tires to stretch around them.
    Picture time:

    Hopeful outcome:

The wheels will be replaced in time. 14" BBS aren't what I desire either, trust me haha.
Thanks for the positive comments, the clear coat is pretty rough on the roof and trunk, and I bought the car with splotches of cement on the hood, roof and trunk, Some muriatic acid, and about an hour later, the cement was gone and the paint wasn't hurt at all.
Might score a new paint job this summer, most likely sticking with Baultic Blau, considering I haven't seen another e28 out of the junkyard in this stock color.
Hopefully slamming it in a month.

Oh sweet! I'm actually having some electrical issues that I'm trying to figure out. There is a short in one of the many components on fuse 5. I think it's either my glove box light, a side marker, or the OBC. All have been acting suspiscious/not working.
Maybe we can meet up, talk BMW and hangout sometime?

Yeah man, I got to thinking about it and decided that I can have the Accord as a "just in case" car as well as keep the e28 as a DD/fixer upper.
Just something about the e28 I can't let go. Most likely the 5 speed.

Added a little side project in. While I'm waiting to get down to my friend's shop to drop the BMW, I've come to admire old school lowrider bicycles.

New project: Build my own lowrider bike. Probably white frame, large chrome handlebars, crankset and drivetrain off of my buddy's BMX bike (if it fits), white wall tires with wheels from BMX salvage bike, banana seat, sissy bar, fenders, old school lights.
I'd like to grab some purple or teal accessory parts for it. I think White/Purple/Teal would be a sick combo. Maybe custom paint my logo on the frame. Should be a fun/cheap build.

Well the outcome of the lowrider bike isn't exactly as I had intended, but it's still pretty awesome, and a lot of fun to cruise around on.
About halfway through the build I had it riding on a pink frame that I rusted out, but the frame and drivetrain was just too small for my liking, so I bumped up to a 26" 3 speed frame I found at the local goodwill.

                              Specs:
                              24" apehangers
                              20/26 rear to front wheel
                              3 speed hub
white vinyl banana seat with short sissy bar

Now I'm working and almost finished another fixed gear project, using a Nishiki frame.
That'll make 5 bike projects in the last 8 months. ^_^
