  • Fitting style 32's on my e36

Seems like a ton of people have done this so I am seeking advice. I am trying to fit style 32's on my 95 M3. Car is on broadway statics, I believe the rear is as high as I can get it (about a half of an inch is in the shock sleeve, and spring perch is as high as it can go while maintaining zero preload). This still has me tucking tire :/ Awesome, except I can't fit my wheels. The rears are my problem, they are 17x9 et 26 off of an e39 and I am on a 214/45/r17. As of right now, the fenders end up sitting right on my tire. I am going to take my car to have the rear fenders roll but from what I am seeing, I need to get the seam sealer out of the fender lip correct? Otherwise, there really is no way to get the lip flat (which is where I need to be if I am going to fit the wheels at this height). Were you all able to get away with just a roll? Would it be better to just cut the lips and maybe gain more access to the sealer?

Any advice would be appreciated, I'm still riding on frickin winter tires

You need a lower profile 40 series tire

My fronts are 17x8.5 and I have 205/45/17. If I switched to 215/40 in just the rear would that cause issues? I would really **** to have to do this :/

So I ended up rolling and pulling the fenders a little and they fit; it's somewhat tight but I don't think I will have any rubbing problems.

When I went to the alignment shop, I am at -3.0 camber. I have oem lower control arms. Would there be any more camber adjustment left on that eccentric bolt? The shop was not able to make adjustments on their machine/rack but there was no need to as my toe was where I wanted and I figured -3.0 camber was fine. I am curious if there is anymore though but I do not want to mess with the bolt when I don't have to.

I am also curious. Would lowering it more yield a little more clearance due to the increase in negative camber associated with lowering or at that height does that seem like it is probably maxed out in terms of camber?

Im running 8 and 9's e39 fitment style 32 on my touring.

Use a 205 and 215/40, i never had issues with them and rear was fairly low, lowering the car wont give u much camber as a couple of mm will not do much. Ideally camber arms are needed. 45 is a very bulky tyre, a 40 should solve the issue dude.

Exactly the guy I was looking for, just couldn't remember your username

I'll go with 40's next time. There definitely isn't all that much stretch with the 45 but at the same time, I was considering going with different wheels and non-stretched meaty tires so it is a decent compromise.

As for the camber issue, mm matter Are you running any roll/pull at all?

Haha, my arches are pretty flared but i was running a 15mm spacer on the rears to fill the arch back up.

think you should be fine with just rolling the arches slightly to flatten the inner return lip or a little camber could also work in favour

Yeah, the roll/pull definitely helped. Only pulled about 1/16th of an inch though. My main concern now is with the fender hitting the lip :/ the extra camber gained from suspension travel allows for clearing the tire but it looks like it is going to come pretty close to the actual wheel so I'll have to check that or just run full stiff :/
