So, I didn't get any pictures of the swap because we were so you will have to just do with my terrible writing.

On Thursday night I started pulling everything off of the other car to make Friday go a little bit quicker when my friend came to help. I got everything but the trans out but I did start un bolting what I could get to. Friday evening around 9pm my friend showed up and we started pulling it...in the rain...in the dark but after a few beers and some cuss words we got the dang thing out. After pulling we decided to call it a night and wake up early and start the pull on the auto.

Saturday morning we get the car on jack stands and while he's down below Im inside the car pulling out the pedal assembly and shifter and Everything is going smooth. I hop down to get the exhaust and drive shafts out and then we get to the trans which is about 80 lbs heavier than the manual and a good bit bigger. To remove it we had to unbolt the motor from the mounts, remove my front radiator support and move/tilt the motor forward as far as possible. It was a lot of back and forth moving the engine up and down and tilting it to get them all. Finally we got them all and we had to undo any other lines that were connected including the cooling lines

While we are pulling this cumbersome auto box we completely forgot to drain it and as you would believe trans fluid is everywhere...literally everywhere. We stop what were doing and run to get kitty litter and clean up and lay a moving blanket down and continue wresting this thing out and finally she falls.

Its about 12am now and were ready to put the manual in and quickly realize that we didn't remove the pilot bearing from the other car so we run out and lay under the car in the rain and see that it isn't coming out with out a slide hammer or I need to order a new one... We did what any reasonable person would do in this situation and used bread...yes bread! Good ole 711 white gluteness BREAD. Break off a few pieces and use a socket with an extension and hammer it in and repeat until the bread builds up and starts to evenly force the bearing out. Literally in shock that it worked and allowed us to reuse it

Once that was sorted out we moved on to installing the clutch and flywheel and got the trans in pretty quickly but now its like 4 am and were all fading. At one point my girlfriend, friend and I all fell asleep under the car only to be woken up by one of them snoring. We decided that we should. The plan was to get it done Saturday and ready for a show Sunday morning but It wasn't going to happen so we called it a night. Sunday morning we were off to a slow start and didn't really get into it until the after noon but we got everything hooked up, clutch bled and were ready to fire it up and run it on the jack stands. At first it didn't start and we remembered the natural safety switch had to be hooked up but after that it fired up and went through gears no issue!

Im so glad thats over and done with I love driving this thing now. Has polly shift bushings, lightened single mass flywheel, stage 1 clutch and pressure plate. Once I get the LSD out the other car it gonna be a good little cruiser.

Now that I got that out of my system we can move on to the pictures of the tails and heckblende and my ghetto licenses plate location and lighting

Also got my headlight working again ( still waiting on the new ones )

And the interior is finally complete (except for the head unit, I want a factory one)

There's nothing special going on in here haha but thank you man.

Yeah I tried to save it but it was going to take too much honestly. I got what I could off of it and those parts will live on. Thanks you for the words though, it's good to hear appreciation for work

I do not, there isn't a reason for one honestly. Mostly stock car besides the wheels and exhaust.

I've thought about doing stuff to it but I enjoy it enough as is and I don't feel the need to alter it.

Nothing new really, got the Cayenne done and took it on a 500+ mile round trip down to VIR to deliver the oxblood interior to the new owner. Made it no issues so Im happy about that.

Got my tire in for my spare RS that I rebuilt, I still need to seal it and get the tire mounted and then get an adapter made.

Here is how I got it

And here is how I got it looking with some elbow grease

Its not perfect but its only a spare so It will do for now. Ill end up getting an RS198 to match later.

And heres the two 80's babies tucked away in my dirt garage.

Manual swap is this weekend so I'm pretty excited to finally get that done
