Life happened, came across some tough times and had a decision to make. Parted ways with it around this time last year, and traded it towards my w210 wagon (daily, broken). I'd had a lot of issues with the CIS-e injection system, and couldn't track down a serious fuel issue. Current project is a '97 318ti (also broken, will update that thread today), but I'd love to get back into a 190e eventually, perhaps a 2.3-16v somewhere down the line. My dog definitely enjoys the wagon more, though.

I would love to see this thing in person, at some point! Any update on the w202? Secretly have a soft-spot for those damn things

Sorry to hear that, but it sounds like life (as you call it) has found its way back to a better side. I wonder how simple of a fuel problem it was, these things are about as hard to work on as a ball of lint. Between your C coupe and the 318 you have an interesting taste in cars haha ((squatty)).... Ive been thinking of building a track spec cossworth but that would be a bit further down the line if ever.

If you're ever around the Northern Virginia area let me know, I'd be glad to meet up. As for the C36, its currently on daily duty. I have plans for it but nothing special, just Suspension, cat delete, good tires and maybe a tune or bushing or braking things. My time, money and energy are currently going into my garage right now.

I appreciate that you appreciate But in all honestly thank you, and if I can give any advise to help you with your build its this. Don't try to be different, build it clean and it will naturally become its own car.

So I've been super busy redoing my garage, insulation, drywall, paint, resurfacing the concrete blah blah blah. I just need a nice clean place to keep my cars and be able to work on them. Any who here's the 190e

I don't have any old pictures but heres a few of whats been done so far.



Replaced all the old drywall and insulated, finished primed and painted the walls. Once that was done we started to work on the floor.



We got to removing the top layer of concrete and sealant to get it ready to be stained. This thing was such a pain in the ass to use. Weighed about 500lbs and had a mind of its own.



After getting the surface ground down we had to then get another floor grinder and use stone blocks to smooth the surface go from a corse block to about an 800 grit until the tool marks were gone and the surface was silky smooth. It was calling for rain that night so we had to move in some of my things. You can see the table and rolling cart I made.



First coat of stain is down, clearly needs more as you can still see some blotching and oil stains. I chose to go with a black granite stain to contrast the wall colors and match the tool box, tables and cabinets.



Second coat down and you can see it has taken on the "black granite" look. Once this cures we then need to apply a clear satin sealant to protect and give it a light polished look.

After I get the floors done I need to focus on how I want to do the stars to the door, playing with brick ideas and possibly wood and pipe to match the table. Ideally I would like to do old cast iron ones but they cost a small fortune. Lighting is two hanging edison lights for normal lighting and then work lighting will be hidden throughout.

Garage door rails and motors will be moved up to hug the ceiling allowing for the possible option of a lift and also to get them out of line of sight because they are ugly haha.

Anyone got some suggestions or Ideas? I would love to hear some form you all.

Garage looks good man. I like the idea of doing wood + pipe to match the table, I think simplicity will be key. Even if you just do standard painted/finished wood steps in a statement color that ties together the room as a whole (i.e. a dark red to match the support, or a dark evergreen to contrast the wall a bit).

Just my .02, I am sure it'll come out brilliant either way.

So, as some of you know, VW is buying back some of their diesels. We happen to own a tdi that they are buying back from us, knowing this we decided to jump the gun and buy a replacement car.

I had been looking for the right car within a budget and everything was aiming towards the w211 E-class. We had owned one back when they were new and we loved it and I honestly think its one of the best looking sedans from this generation. With all that said I didn't want to get just any old E-class, with with a good bit of searching I found this.

2009 E350, AMG sport package, Capri Blue Metallic, 67k.














And since there is some interest in my garage project here is an update photo.



Floors are finished, still need to get another cabinet, do the lighting and finish the back wall.

Thanks man! Im excited too, can't wait to get it shipped here and start enjoying it. As for the garage its slowly coming along, not quite finished yet but its a huge transition from where it started.

Finally got the everything tidied up and the lighting installed, still need to finish a few things here and there but as of now the garage is usable and boy does it look good.
