Well been busy with work so not too many updates.

    These did come though

They're Megan Racing Streets, look really nice at first glance can't wait to get them on! Lateral bar, lower control arms and flares should be here tomorrow!

Also in other car news looking at trading my 2011 Mustang in for a 2016 Golf R. Figure with 5 cars now (4 of them being summer cars) it's getting a little nuts haha. It would be a year round daily letting me sell my impreza and then only have 3 summer rigs...that's sensible right? Lol

        More parts

T3 adjustable lower control arms and an adjustable lateral bar. Flares are on back order but since my wheels won't be here for awhile not too worried. Still need some skirts and maybe a bumper, haven't decided yet.

In other news figured 5 cars (4 of which were summer) was a little crazy so ended up trading in my 2011 Mustang GT California Special. Love the car but love my Datsun's and corolla more so it had to go. Picked up a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R as my new daily and am selling the subaru. 3 summer cars is normal right? Lol.

Ugh, first Red R I've seen and I have to say it's refreshing. As nice as the blue is.

Any tuning plans for the R or..?

Already threw an intake on it and plan to get an exhaust and a stage 1 tune. Might eventually get a downpipe/intercooler and go stage 2.

Was looking at an ipe exhaust but damn they're expensive

Well have been crazy busy with work so making an update to say there's been no updates... deal with it.

In non corolla stuff did pick up a borla exhaust for the R, Should be here next week hopefully. Also hoping to get the coilovers and lateral bar on this week as well.

You'd think I had a thing for the color red

Finally a real update! Coilovers and lateral bar are on! They're about 1/4 of the way down, since I'm still on stock wheels until my works and flares get here might try to compensate for it by going as low as I can. For now here's some pictures after just pulling it out of the garage

Makes the car look a million times better, can't wait for wheels!

Well now just waiting for my wheels/flares to get here and waiting for a good priced motor set to pop up. A buddy mentioned a strange swap I've been looking into, a K24 hooked up to a s2000 trans with high compression and big cams... an interesting idea but still looking into it more.

Also found a friend at work

Finally made a decision on the engine and trans! Picking up the trans tomorrow and the engine maybe next week. Bellhousing and mounts should soon follow. It's toyota but definitely not as common as my other ideas. Wonder if anyone can figure out what motor i'm talking about with that little info haha.

Wheels/flares are still on the way, the wait sucks

                            3sg?
                            1uz?

Any 4ag, you already have a trans but need a bellhousing... Unless I missed that this is automagic?

edit: Yeah, you drive with magic... maybe if I paid closer attention to the first post....

                            Final guess:
Redtop High comp, bigport head, 272/288 cams with ITBS?

Well one of those was right! Finally decided on a 1uz since I came across an amazing deal on the w58 transmission and the engines are dirt cheap.

There's only 2 other 86's back home and both are 4ag powered so wanted to go with something different.

Anyways drove 4 hours round trip yesterday to pick up the w58 out of a 90 supra for $400 freshly rebuilt. Also bought my engine/transmission mounts. Next payday will probably pick up my motor or bellhousing kit. Major cost factor in this swap is the custom bellhousing, release bearing, and accompanying parts. About $1100 (more then my engine and transmission combined haha) in the mean time might start pulling the old 4ac in prep for the new motor
