You want stiffer than 34k springs? I have some straight pieces of steel that I can sell you.
yup lol. the ride on 24k front and 34k rear really isnt bad at all. rides a decent bit better than my friends s2k on 20k in the rear. You have to remeber the cts is a heavy car, 3900 or so. If he decides to go with custom broadways ima try to convince him to go 50k front and whatever else he can get in the rear, hopefully like 80k or so. Then we can lower it prolly .5" and be fuckin nasty static car.
Last week or so made some good progress on the car.
Finished the body work on the qtr panels and we also decided to continue the small body line up and over then fade it out, vs fading it out at the bottom. Also got all 4 corners in primer as well.
also started work on the front bumper. There were multiple splits and and cracks that needed plastic welding. Also found out that someone had painted it before and prepped it TERRIBLY and the paint was flaking, so whole bumper has to be stripped. yyyaaaaaayyy untitled (7 of 13) by lawrx, on Flickr
you guys are really bringing this thing back to life. nice work.
Thanks man. We are already talking about the next phase of the car, This is really just the first step. But its going to get wilder and better. Cant wait to see where we take this car.
So, sorry for the lack of updates, been a bit busy, but still got some work done on the car.
Car is painted and just needs a little bit of sanding to get some trash out. Rear wheel lips are refinished and wheels need to be re assembled, front bumper is back together and needs to be thrown on. Other than that she is pretty much finished for this round of crazy shit happening to a caddilac haha
SO over the last week I've been super busy, but i was able to finish the car for the customer. By now he is up in Georgia at SOWO.
We had to refinish the rear lips as from the get go it was rubbing terribly when it was dropped off to me. After that it was a simple matter of bolting in the faces, putting the wheels on the car, and putting the front bumper back on and giving her a good was and a little bit of polish, and she was off! Owner was ecstatic on how it came out and we already have ideas in the works for the next phase of the car.
I had no clue that these were 6 lug until just now. That's stupid, having been in a 5x100 Subaru I ***** the limitations. So much that I went to 15mm adapters and trimmed my studs down because 5x100 sucks. Couldn't imagine 6 lug.
Anyway!
Killer work man! Just hopped through the quick thread and it looks fantastic. I'm glad he had the courage? to do this to such a car. It looks incredible and stands out among the standard in a classy (albeit wildly stanced) way.
