Ok so update time.
I got my new harness from Matt back friday when I got to the shop. Worked my hours then ran straight home to get the harness and a few other things done. The harness was very well made and looked so nice plus Matt did what I wanted and added an OBD2 port so I can finally scan codes and do adjustments in Vagcom. I spent about 2 hours getting the harness in, adding a jumper to the fuse panel and routing everything as I wanted. everything was in place and ready so it was the moment of truth. Turn the key and...... Nothing because I'm an idiot and put the signal wire for the starter on the wrong post haha. Attempt two, turn the key..... Houston we have a running car. after that I put the fender and bumper back on and took it for a small drive and then called it a night.

Yesterday I woke up and worked on the cooling system so the car and sit when running after driving and not over heat. mount the radiator more solid so the fan does touch the core support and cause it to now work as well. Also took out the old thermostat because I believe it was get stuck shut and not letting coolant flow. after that I pretty much drove the day all day with no issues. you could say I was a happy dude for sure.

I had a smile like this on my face all day. Im so happy to be able to drive the Corrado again. Biggest thanks in the world to Matt & EuroKraft for their help.

Small update.
My dad stopped by the house today so I could replace the rear strut mount on his e36, which was totally ripped in half, & swapped his winter wheel set up out for his summer set up.

I also figured since my new engine harness shows up tomorrow I would get the somethings done so hopefully I can get the new harness in and fire the car up (hopefully). I went ahead and drilled another access hole to take some stress off the wiring since before everything was coming out of one hole and was a really tight fit. Decided to run the starter wire, headlight harness & fan wiring through one hole. The other hole will be for the engine harness and turn signal wiring. Also replaced the zip ties that was holding the harness before with hold downs just to make sure the wiring stays away from tire.

Thanks for the tip on those carbs. Mine cleaned up pretty well.. runs great but likes to foul plugs so I need to keep tweaking it a bit. Every day I'm tempted to tear more into it and customize it more but have to tell myself to leave it alone and focus on the other projects. I also wanted to try and make it so it could be converted back to stock because I really dig the 70's vibe of these old twins.

Thanks man. Do it! I just about riding season again.Originally posted by fackinsteve View PostBeautiful bike, I need to get mine up and running
Thank you, I think I had this image in my head of it finished and it never turned into that so I was never completely happy with it but like I said I loved riding it and making myself learn new skills.Originally posted by thofdahl View Post
Very nice! I like really simple Honda's. They can look great with little work. Also a plus to have another bike ride as you work on your project. I rushed on mine at the end because I just wanted to ride.
If you ever need help or info on the cb360 feel free to hit me up. I still have most of that knowledge stored in my head. haha
Also if you ever want to ditch the stock carbs these Mankuni Flate Slides work great on the 360's. Only part that sucks is getting a custom throttle cable made.

HAHA it has not and it gave me a good laugh so good work.Originally posted by 190Evan View PostDamn Kole back at it again with the Sciroccos. I'm sure that meme has been used in this thread already but I'm just going to pretend like it hasn't
Here are a few. It was 1976 Honda CB360 that I built between owning the mk3 & corrado. I built the bike since I worked part time at a custom motorcycle shop and felt weird working on peoples projects and not having my own. It's was built in 55 days.Originally posted by thofdahl View PostGot any pics of that cafe racer? Looks nice.

I sold it a few months ago to a good friend for his wife and it now lives in Cali. I was honesly never happy with how it turned out but I had run building it and riding it for a few months. I may build another bike when the Corrado is at a point im happy with it.

Small little update.
Matt (chainnoise) from Eurokraft got a hold of me yesterday and sent me some photos. Looking like my harness will be finished up and sent out this week.
Matt found that the alternator has not been wired correctly since I bought the car and got everything to get that fixed. All I can say is Eurokraft & Matt have amazing customer service.
Can't waiting to get the car back on the road.

I will say it has been nice to take a small break from the car and just focus on riding/ traveling with friends and taking care of home things.
