1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata project - my brother and I got rid of our bagged 1988 S10 regular cab long bed and ended up with a 1990 Miata that a friend had been using as a DD during the summer:





It has rust, dust, grime, and burns oil, but it runs well and weighs nothing.

The first step involved dissecting the rusted areas and ordering new rockers and rear quarters. These came in a couple weeks ago:



We also installed a steering wheel left over from the last project (mahogany Chevrolet replica wheel).

Up next was my brother's pet project - he had flush mounted a tablet in his B6 A4, and wanted the same functionality here:

Like his previous setup, this will use a wireless charger plate mounted to the backside of the mount, and the outputs from the tablet will run to an amp and upgraded speakers. Also (as the pics show) the HVAC controls were relocated to the bottom so the tablet wasn't hidden behind the shifter. This required a minor extension of the cables that attach to the unit.

Wheels will be 16x8 Whistler KR1 in white / polished lip:



Other plans include gauge faces and an HVAC control panel face from RevLimiter, custom door panels with pull straps, and a paintjob.
