today was a good day! finally did my tie rods and wednesday ill be getting my alignment. also picked up some wheels from a buddy. have hubcentric rings on the way, then i need tires and balance. only pic i have is of them still on his car

they are elbrus i02, nothing to special but they are 18x8 and were only $150!

Ayye I work at belle tire. That can't tell me shit about alignments on a lowered car. That's the only reason is cool to work there I do them myself and for freeeee lol

still havent done anything to the car. i did take it to its first meet today though, as well as took my first rollers! i think its pretty good

So I used to have a 1.8T B6 as well that was slammed on Bilstein PSS9's. My car was at the same height in the front and maybe a quarter inch lower in the rear. I got alignment just fine. Maybe you should go to some other shop and try it out. Worst case scenario if you raise the front half and inch, it should solve the problem. Either way the toe should align within spec.

i never posted the new print out. i ended up going to another belle tire that was also local, met a super cool guy there. they put my car on the rack and found my tie rods were bad, so i changed them. next time i went back they got it all done for me! camber is still the same (front out, back in) and the rear toe is slightly out because "it would throw out the total toe" it drives like a completely different car now!

also i pulled this thing off this morning.its the support for the original plastic belly pan i wont be putting back on because skid plate. last week i had my dad in the car. its his first time in a low car and i lined up the center off the car with a dead squirrel thinking i wouldnt hit it because really im not that crazy low...but we smacked it lol my dad was like "well thats a first, never hit something with the center of a vehicle before" later that week i ran over a dead raccoon. what really killed it though was when i pulled out of my buddies driveway last night which has a center that is about 4" higher than where your wheels roll and it tore it so that it was dragging unless you gunned it and lifted the front end a bit lol sounded like my wheel was locked up!

put the skid plate on the car today, took half of the dirt on nemos driveway when i left lol right now im currently trying to get my brother to go get me tires i just found on craigslist so i can finally put these new wheels on!!!

found dunlop direzza star specs in 225/40-18 last night on craigslist for $200. they are basically brand new, guy said he used them for one track event in 2013 and then put them in his basement. DEAL OF THE YEAR!

i dropped off the wheels and tires this morning at the tire shop, my buddy is currently picking them up and bringing them to me. the hub rings i ordered were wrong so i cant mount them but i will be painting them this week and have the rings to mount them by monday or tuesday! pics to come!

the rear has settled a decent amount. havent gotten any sideview pics since. i would level it but kinda hard to adjust when theres no perch in the rear. and theres no way im raising the front lol

deleted almost the last of the vacuum lines today (last one to change is the crankcase hose) and cleaned up the wheels so theres no more grease on them and its make them look alot better so im gonna hold off on painting for now

today was kind of a shit day. i got my wheels on which was pretty dope but my maf sensor went bad and i worked on it for hours trying to figure that out. new one is on its way now. for now im in limp mode at 5psi

8 hours yesterday spent trying to fix the car and i only managed to make it run in limp mode. 15 minutes today and its completely fixed. turns out my diverter valve disconnected from the intercooler piping

so this weekend i did my rear coolant flange, along with put on my 034 motorsport crankcase breather. after alot of consideration ive decided that i will not be bringing my car to sowo. instead im gonna ride with my buddy nemo down. ive been rushing and the car keeps having random problems. dont really trust it for an 1800 mile trip right now
