MK6 GTI on ........

Hello, it's been quite some time since I made a build thread for one of my cars. It seems as if I go through cars pretty often pursuing what makes me happy. I think I found the right car for me this time around. Feel free to peek my last few builds in my profile if you're bored.

Just picked up a 2010 White MK6 GTI 6 Speed. Its the newest car I've owned and the most satisfying. I can't get enough of BMW and VW's so this wasn't a surprise from me.

The first things I've done to the car in the last two weeks of ownership include -

Muffler Delete
Resonator Delete
Golf R LED Taillights
FK HighSport Coilovers (Instaling soon)

I want this car to be as quality as my budget allows me and everything done right the first time. I snapped a few photos below of the day I brought it a few weeks ago and some with the LED's installed. I will be installing the coilovers in a few days then ordering wheels by the end of this month. (Plate frame will give a hint to the wheels I'm going to get)

Here are some pictures after I detailed it the day I purchased it. I waxed a bunch of marks on the car to remove surface scuffs and got the red line on the bumper off with some wet sanding and mineral and spirit formula.

Installed the FK's yesterday and man those front struts are hard to get out.. Got them though. Cut the bump stops in half. Enjoy the photos, the wheels will be mounted in a few days.

Got the wheels on yesterday. The first picture is how it looked without touching the height. I lowered the fronts down a bit so the rest of the photos show that.

Me and a buddy washed and clayed the car today. The paint is looking flawless and smooth as glass!

Powdercoat those wheels another color! I feel like a color that popped more would really make this thing look rad. Other than that I'm subbed and this is still super rad.
