Next on the list is some 280mm G60 brakes I think. The jettas got front and rear corrado in which are nice and supportive but I still wouldn't mind some proper buckets. Having already dyno'ed it and run it down a strip I'd quite like to do a track day or hill climb in it see what happens

Not updated this for a while. Cars not really changed much. just been enjoying driving it and also had the majority of the welding done that needed to happen so now i can enjoy driving the car knowing there's no holes in it lol

Next mods are 280mm g60 brakes and then when i can afford it some upper and lower braces. Id also like some bucked seats but the corrado seats are fairly figure hugging so i suppose they can wait.

Just took a few photos of it

Still got both front ends so atm im switching between the two cause i cant make my mind up.

          Thanks for reading

Love the Jetta! Are the Seat 16v the same as VW 16V? I'm looking for a timing cover my Scirocco.
Whatever path you take to get to your automotive nirvana is the right path, everyone’s path is different. If more people liked cars because they are cars—not because they are a way to get attention or to way to be better than someone else—then I think the automotive world would be a better place. -benmassey

Yeah the only thing that differs are they have lighter lifters a better air intake pipe design and obviously the raised lettering on the inlet manifold says seat lol

Got another update for you guys

Had the 16v in long enough without updating the brakes which was pretty stupid on my part but i got by and managed not to crash into anything when driving. however i decided the time had come to refresh the whole braking system so the car has had the following

                    Front

Front 288mm polo gti 1.8t Caliper and Carrier
                    Brembo pads
                    Pagid disks
                    Polo 1.8t brake lines
                    16v hubs
                    22mm master cylinder

                    Rear

Rear mk3 golf caliper and carrier
                    Goodridge braided rear hoses
                    Brembo pads
                    Eicher disks
                    Mk2 disk conversion stub axles
                    Two new handbrake cables

just waiting for the brakes to bed in before i can see just how much better they are. They fit quite snugly behind my 15 inch slipstreams which is a plus as i didn't want them to look lost behind the wheels.
We painted all the shit up and fitted it
Here are some crappy phone pics...

All the stuff waiting to be fitted

                    Fronts going on

Fronts behind the 15s. Dont think id fit anything much bigger

                    Rears all fitted up

Celebrated with a few coats of wax

Another quick update. Since i'm going for a more track focused theme with the car with it having the superchipped ABF and decent stoppers etc i decided i wanted to continue the theme and get a better wheel.

Picked this genuine OMP corsica up off Ebay for an absolute steal and got it fitted onto the Raid snapoff

                      Cheers

Thanks man I still can't decide between the two. Funnily enough I read your build thread yesterday. The car bad turbo setup looks quality and the amount of work gone into the rest really sets it apart.

                            Thanks dude!

I like the rounds because the Jettas all come with the square lights here.

                                Hi guys

A boring kinda winter update. So the welding has been done on the jetta.painted the bare metal then Built up the floor with seam sealer in the areas that had been treated to make up the same level as the factory finish. They two coats of shultz on the floor to kids it up and some extra protection

The main reason I'd be down to the garage was to get new steering rods, Rod ends, bottom ball joints and bottom arms only snapped 1 pic as we were busy

I left for a while so obviously these tasteless modifications occurred

Last one so the posts not the most boring thing ever old pic I took abit ago

                                Thanks for reading
