Dilapidated '66 Beetle Build

What's up guys,

I just picked up a car that i've been dying to get for about 10 years, a 60's beetle. I've loved these cars since I was a kid, and something about them has always been appealing to me. I'm really excited about this car and what's to come with it! I don't know much about air-cooled cars, so this is going to be a learning experience. Any insight would be very helpful.

This car has a 6" narrowed beam, 1" motor mount risers, bus nose cone for the tranny, all new seals, disc brake kit, new heater channels, all new sectioned floor pan with a pie cut up front, and a few other things that just need to be installed on the car. It's ready to be laid out.

I have a pretty cool vision for this car, and it just needs the hours put into it for it to happen. Thanks for looking!

it does seem in rough state, but the beauty of a 50 year old car. one of my dream cars for me as well.

Yeah, but hopefully next weekend I will have the body off and can start repairing the mounts. That should take care of most of my worries after that.

and the people saying you should scrap it, gives me hard feelings..

Hahaha, those are my buddies. Always giving me a hard time.

Interior is close to mint, I just need to clean the seats and show the headliner some love. not bad for being original. i'll post pics this weekend after i clean them.
