Hi everyone,
My name's Damon. I like cars. Very much. Oh, you do too? Good, we're going to get along just fine.
When I was 15 I bought a Fern Green E36 328iC Convertible as my first car and slowly started modifying it to my liking. By the time I was 16, it ended up mildly dropped on KW V1 coils and gold Style 5s.

Eventually it came to the point where I longed for more power, so I sold it and ended up buying an Imola on Alcantara E46 330ci M-Sport (cosmetically, a Canadian ZHP).

It was a fun car, but it had several issues that I deemed weren't worth dealing with, so I sold it. At that point I was going to go back to an E36 since it was what my heart truly longed for, but I just couldn't find the right one, and a 350Z happened to come along. Willing to try something new, I gave the 350Z a go.

I kept the 350Z for the longest that I've owned any of my other cars. I absolutely loved the car. That is, until it blew up last year. During my 350Z ownership, I picked up a cheap E36 to use in the Winter which ended up saving me. I stored the 350Z and began driving the E36 again until I had to sell it due to moving to a new city for school where driving a car just wasn't feasible.
The 350Z sat in storage waiting for the Spring 2016, where I had plans of swapping a new heart into her.
While sweeping Kijiji (the Canadian version of Craigslist) randomly a couple weeks ago, I came across the E36 I'd always been looking for. It's not everyone's dream, but an Estoril Blue E36 M3 convertible has always been what I'd wanted since day 1, but it's been impossible to find in Canada until this one came along. As it turns out, that makes sense as E36 M3 convertibles were never sold in Canada. Who knew? No wonder I couldn't find one!
This one in particular is a California import.
Knowing I wouldn't find this car here again, I decided to scoop it up and put the 350Z up for sale. Time to move on. Sorry, VQ.
So, now that I have the right car, what's the dream? Honestly, it's really simple. I've just always adored Estoril E36s on AC Schnitzer wheels, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
Here's how she looked when I picked her up:

Sorry the garage lighting makes it look so purple here.

Moving fast, I took the damn Plasti Dip off the grilles, got rid of the M Parallel replicas and threw on a set of Style 5s that I had just refinished (originally to sell to make profit to help fund the 350Z engine, but hey, now I have a car I can put them on!).
Here's what it looks like on the Style 5s. Some of the shots have the height Photoshopped. I haven't had a chance to actually lower it yet, I'm busy with school.

Anyway, not gonna lie, it does look pretty great on Style 5s, but I've already done that, and it's not the dream. So, I sold the Style 5s as well, and the car is currently sitting on jackstands in a garage I'm renting until I can get my paws on some ACS wheels.
I'm having some trouble figuring out the fitment. I'm ok with being low but I really want to avoid too much stretch and anything more than like -2 degrees of camber.
I'm currently looking at 3pc AC Schnitzer Type 1s and am looking at running 17x8.5 ET13 front with 215/40 or 205/40. No problem, that'll fit. However, I'm having trouble with how I want the rears. I can either get 17x10 ET19 or 17x9 ET6 which have about the same outer clearance, but I'm told that if I'd like to run minimal amounts of camber the widest I could run on the 10" is 215/40 or maaaybe 225/35. The issue for me is that I find that they both look too stretched and poked. 215/40 is for sure too stretched for my taste and 225/35 is borderline what I'd start to actually consider. 235/40 is ideally what I'd like but most people are telling me it won't fit so I'm not sure what to do. I'm considering running 215/40 on the 9" ET6 instead of going for 10" in the rear but I'm not too sure.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on my fitment situation!
Thanks,
Damon
