  • EF Hatch Money Pit

    Introducing my new money pit.
My 1991 Honda Civic DX Hatch
    His name is Timothy.
Picked him up earlier today for $200.
Had a blown Head Gasket, was fixed with blue devil by previous owner. Works, so I'll leave it for now.

    Needs:
    Hood Hinges
    Misc. Interior Plastics
    New Passenger fender
    Corner Lights (ordered)
    One headlight bulb
    Thermostat (?)

Other than that, this car drives like a Dream. Cable trans, manual steering, and I love it.
Can't go wrong for $200. More updates soon.

    Stay tuned, folks.

Did some work on Timothy today.
Painted the hood gloss black. Looks like shit and there are runs everywhere, but I'll wetsand it tomorrow.
Straightened out the passenger fender somewhat and vacuumed out the interior.

Some more pics of the exterior. Needs some love. The roof might get the gloss black treatment.

            That's all for now, guys.

Wet-sanded the hood today with 600 grit scotch brite. rubbed off all the gloss, but its ok. I'll just leave it like this for now.

More updates in the near future.

Looks like you got a good start to it, specially for only $200 lol. Any plans apart from the body work? Dropping it? engine swap?

Thanks guys! Plans are to make it a rat rod. Engine stock bc It has 70hp and I can't afford a swap.
I'm trading some side markers + $15 for a set of stock struts and H&R Springs on Saturday. Will be low on sunday or next tuesday.

Lots of progress today. Painted the front bumper matte black
Rusted the fender because I think its cool as shit

Mounted my brother's old oil cooler, it's not hooked up to anything yet. Once again because I think its cool as shit.

And drilled some holes bc I think it looks cool as shit. I think you get the gist of this build now.

So thats where it sits now. Getting hood hinges tomorrow, suspension on saturday. Should be fun.
                      stay tuned.

everything is lined up nicely, just gotta get the hood latch centered.

                            .
You could at least drill the holes straight.
