Hi! My name is Nikita and I'm web developer from Kiev, Ukraine. I dreamed about 80s bmw from school graduation. Years passed and I'm happy holder of 1986 white (almost) bmw 524, with 2.4 turbo diesel engine.

I ride it almost year and during this time I completely repaired engine

It was in terrible condition, with Lada piston rings and huge amount of sealant in all parts of engine

    Last summer I bought 17s borbet b 8.5 et13

they are ready to be polished and got 205 40 tires on it

In plans: - painting in alpina white color
    - m30 swap
    - ventilated disc brakes from e32
    - and air suspension

this broke my hearth. I can understand the m30 is cheap and makes way more power and makes sens I guess (allthough I would strongly suggest you consider the M50 instead, just as cheap and a way better (read more potential, more aftermarket, and just a newer design engine) )

I juste like the diesel so much. I'm in for some more though! You seem pretty handy and your english seems pretty good too. I **** to feel like i'm reading google translate.

Hah, sorry about my english, l know that it is weak
I spent days and months thinking about really good swap, there was an idea to boost stock m21, or buy m47 but it is very expensive and tricky. I thought that m30b35 would be nice. Anyway I'll try to do my best and build something interesting!

I think he referred to google translate usage in general.

Your English is actually pretty good

I'm thinking about 3.0 turbo m57, It produce nice power in stock and with little modification it could be great with it's torque

I'll remove that black stripe shortly, just want to do good paintwork and restore car body to perfect condition.

                      Hi everybody!

I didn't write for a while, but now I have some updates to my car.

So first of all, good news, my car moved to warm and dry garage:

I'm very happy, cuz now it is closer to my house and stored better.

Second one, I bought some nice things:
                      1. ABS system

it is in nice shape, but previous holder cut connectors to rear brakes, it is not a big problem so let's go further.

                      2. Original rear axle with disc brakes. It is very good, I wanted to install rears suspension from e32 because it is easier to find it here, so it is luck that I got this thing, and fairly it was very cheap.

Now I'm going to use sandblaster paint it and change all consumables.

                      3. AC

It is very rare option and hard to find in Ukraine. And I don't have sun roof so I needed this thing to drive comfortably during hot season.

BUT! I got everything to install it except central console for ac cars, this is very sad, cuz it is hard to find here such a things, I explored ebay parts and shipping cost me a money, I could buy it for 50$ but need to pay 100$ for shipping.

If anybody know where I could find it in EU or sent it to me with cheap shipping costs I'll be very thankful!

Hi everybody, so it is been awhile since I wrote here something last time,
I got few updates on my car as last year was mainly about trying to get knowledge and practice of paintworks

Also I have new wheels for my BMW, there are set of rare Enkei King 17 8.5 4piece rims. They are refinished, centers painted in white
and lips are polished,I have everything to install them except tyres, I spent a lot of time looking for best tyre sizes to go with nice
                          but not hardcore stretch

                          wtBOnC5p-DI.jpg

Maybe somebody won't like such set on classic car, but I have really nice adapters to make it work, I want to make good looking fitment

                          9hqe6EdXA5c.jpg

for now I have set of e39 coilovers, front suspension needs some modification to install them, but after research I realized
that there are no coilovers with straight forward installation to strut, and e28 coilovers cost me a ton with delivery and fees.

My car finally totally white, without any black stripes

                          uCsVU3EblvU.jpg

Some smaller things that I've done is exhaust, it is not fully straight piped, but I removed front muffler so sound is more deeper
I found a lot of nice, original things for my car, such as almost new OEM spoiler, alpina steering wheel, early pfeba front spoiler (it
requires early front bumper apron, which I bought too)

So that's it, now I'm trying to find some time to install all this stuff and try to enjoy summer with my BMW

ah, almost forgot, I'm not going to rebuild it for gasoline, I found myself enjoying diesel cars!

thanks everybody, hope this season will be more productive for me with my build and build thread as well!

Here I have some wheel refinishing process photos

this is how my friend found them

                            wxTIJipZd2Y.jpg

They were fully sandblasted, barrels painted with black matte

                            hbFFJihkCnc.jpg

Goals (maybe not as big lips as barrel, but definitely need some wider outers)
