UPDATE
Wheels have been split, in the process of sandblasting and painting the centers.
New lips have been ordered, and it should be quite fitted
RS033 15X6.5 +34
Building them to 15X8 +15 15X8.5 +8.6
So waiting on new lips to arrive, while that happens i need to get cracking on the other parts so i can assemble them in time for BMW's 100th Birthday Photoshoot.
Oh and what was to be the finishing touch to my whole build was purchased due to getting it on sale... I had a fuck it moment and just bought it.

One of the first kits in Australia for a BMW M42.
RHD Engineering provided a Kit that was Designed for the M42/M44 Application and since im in no rush to build my stroker engine, i decided that i'd at least look the part
I thought the kit would be pretty straight forward, but its doesn't actually fit with a M42 Fuel rail. So i need to go grab a M44 one in the morning and then go about fitting the rest of it. I few things was a little disappointing with the kit. But i plan to modify and tune it too my own liking later on. My main priority is to make sure it'll all run.
A couple quick pictures from the other night.

This makes me super happy to see!
Also, naming cars make the relationship between owner and car more real I believe. It's something a lot of people do, and I am very happy that I was the reason why you named her Sabine.
Keen to see this sitting track stance on the RS' man!

ITB Test Fit/Test Run
I got up in the morning and headed over to my local wrecking yard. Dirty, wet and the cars i saw online weren't even there.
Disappointed i disassembled a M43 and hoped that the fuel rail would work. It did line up but the fuel hard lines would have been quite close.
So i headed over to another wrecking yard that i had never been too, and it was like walking in a big chain hardware store.
Clean all concreted and the cars were all filed and sorted. The only disappointing thing was how expensive they were.
So i grabbed a M44 Fuel rail and its hard lines and while i was there i grabbed a M44 Rocker cover. The reason i grabbed the M44 Rocker cover, is due to the fact i wanted to clean the engine bay of hoses.
I need to run a oil catch can now, and with the M42 breather being on the front of the cover i thought ill try make a hybrid and hide as much as possible. The M44 cover runs it on the back, but it's quite different inside so ill cut and modify it as it's my next job.
I knew that i'd have to modify the provided spacers for the fuel rail to make it work. Due to the M44 and M42 using different Injectors.
But with the E30 not running i took in my spare head and mocked it all up. Used the lathe at work and shorted the spacers but 12mm.
I then headed back home and fitted up my engine. I plan to take it all off and refine what i don't like and paint, shorten bolts and polish bits.
Oh and sort the hoses ! These damn hoses are horrible. The M44 hard lines need to be cut down, bent and flared to my liking but i have got it all on to get a test drive out of it.
So now when i get back from interstate, i need to finish the throttle side of things and fit the carbon airbox on. The kit provided needs alot of work.
To say its bolt on would be a total lie. Yeah it fits but to make it work so many things need modifying its annoying but enjoyable knowing not many will go to these lengths.
I was cheeky and started it up, tried to keep it running a little just to hear some induction noise. It's going to sound awesome, i just need to learn how to weld now and fab and exhaust up !

As for the BBS's I went with 2inch and 2.5inch lips which I purchased through Raw Works. I'm going to polish up the old hardware and thinking gold centres.
