Hello,
Im new to the forum and from UK but have recently moved to the French alps.
I'm Samuel Cole, 20 and have a serious addiction to cars. (anyone that personally knows me will agree!) I've had too many to keep count.
Before we start my fairtail of drift whore to classy princess here's a few of my previous cars.
Rather Dapper Passat B6:

Polo mk2 saloon:

BMW 1602 The one I should have kept:

Also Started a heavy Berg cup build with a MK1 but sold it all in bits to fund moving.

Theres a whole load of pictures on photobucket of the golf if your interested!
But back to the story I will start our story with my previous E28:

Little picture from players classic after some shineys where purchased

Luke ward built the car and it showed up on ebay a few years later. I fell in love and it was purchased with intent of doing some minor things and just to roll it for a few years. However bought it a bit blind and she had majour rotting and needed alot of attention. Also a few months into ownership some nice person decided to give it a new paintjob with nitromours:

So this made my mind up, but having caught the BMW bug and loving the shape and feal of the e28 the search for another soon began. A few weeks later one came up for sale and a few hours later I was in the car going to view the thing.
Was alot straighter, paint wasnt quite so bad (with a gorgeous colour) and needed alot less welding (the main reason) but a big temtation was the jump from 1.8 M10 to the lovely 6 pot M30 in the new one! Heres a few pictures from the advert:

SO, Brought her back home after a few thousand exchanged hands. I didnt buy with the RF's. Bought some cheapy e36 alloys from scrap to bring her home on. Still had coilovers which the previous owner had custom built. TRUST ME when I say this thing was lower static than my bagged black one, insane!
The previous owner infromed me it was going to be used for drifting and was in the state of a drift car, some bits missing, some broken, you get the idea...
Anyways after a long very bumpy but yet quite satisfying drive home back to base the start of the transformation began!
My immediate plan was to swap over the air and coilovers on the e28's as I wanted to keep mine bagged. Get the black one sold and pile some money into the weinrot one.
Due to the paint type on the car the shine fades very quickly and was becoming pink in areas! Again, anyone who knows me personally im a bit ocd when it comes to cleaning.
Some pictures of when I first got her back:

Then the mess that is the engine bay :S

Both my sweethearts together:

First things first a good wet sand, multistage polish and wax ETC.
During:

Cleaning behind bumpers:

After:

So after a little play and swapping a few bits over between the two the main job of the suspension was soon underway.
