  • Hey Guys! My 2010 Honda Fit GE8!

Hey guys! New to actually getting active in the page. Always gotten here some how looking for stuff here and there. Great content! This is my 2010 Honda Fit that I just totaled but currently rebuilding to a VIPish style. I already have a deposit down on some Wedz Kranze Bazreia's 17x7.5 +23. Im so stoked about them. Im going with a coil over bag set up with v2 digital management from Autrey at DWS parts. Great customer service! I am buying a custom lip that my new friend i met at IA in Bowling Green this fall (@jap2red). His S200 looked mean as hell so i contacted him and i was like YO! i need that lip, and he said i could buy it because he is getting another one lol. That will be cool as well.

BBS RS's: Ordered these from a total stranger who had a very small business of importing JDM wheels please support him @Demwheelstho on Instagram going through him for second set as well. Specs 16x7.5 +14 / 16x8.5 +14. Wrapped in a Federal 195/40 (cheap tire but sticky). I got them and took them apart. Sent off to powder coating, the powder coat on them is a copper vein textured powder coat. Took them 3 tries because they were couple idiots (Small honky town construction who did a decent amount of powder coating and sand blasting but somehow they couldn't get it completely right with this one) Ordered black bolts from the UK from Srr hardware. Great customer service and affordable. The center nut was powder coated black too.

Suspension: Function and Form Type 2 Coilovers. There wasn't much left of them honestly lol. I removed the locking nut and bottom perch off of it. Took a big piece of chunky rubber out of there and shaved my bumpstops. And more small bullshit metal rings that weren't needed. I ran straight spring in the back with no rubber and zero issues. Fenders were rolled and pulled (a ton) by myself. I did alright whatever.

Wing: After market "VIP style Spoiler" was the title on Ebay. I had my friend Brandon paint it and it looks great.

    Sti Lip: Sti Lip

Paint: Milano Red. Personally I love this color. Ive been able to get a huge shine out of it. I am also ocd about it.

I still use my car as truck a lot. The fit has a ton of room for really anything. Ive moved myself twice in it.

I hit a huge plate in the road getting on the interstate on an on ramp. I was going only 10 miles and hour mangled a fender, bent a subframe mounting point bent the subframe, snapped the control arm, and broke a motor mount. Steering wheel, curtain drivers side, and left shoulder air bag went off in the crash. I was able to cut the curtain air bags and tuck the ceiling back. Im replacing the steering wheel air bag and I'm sewing the small shoulder sir bag closed with some thin fishing line or something to hold it tight. Everything was fixed beautifully and the car was re-aligned with no problem.

Anyways if you're still reading thanks! Pictures of everything are below! Most pictures done by my main man David Bridges out of Knoxville, TN. Google him.

Wow... That must have been a huge impact.

But that got me curious; What kind of plate are you talking about?

It was a plate about the height of a speed bump as long as one and I guess the width was about the same. I have no idea what it was covering. It was elevated about 3" or more off the ground? As I sat in the middle of the ramp after I hit it trucks and SUV's were having trouble getting over this thing.

Definitely a danger haha. Yeah got a steal on the car when I first bought it. I don't do anything with this car except for cruise. I daily a 91 Honda Civix Sedan. It's got 223,000 on the clock and shows no signs of stopping (knock on wood). When it does I'm swapping it, gutting it, and building a race car. It's a manual.

Got some goodies in the mail today! I have to order brackets from Bag Riders for my Function & Form Type 2's and I'll be set to put them together. Not using the brackets in the rear because I'm shaving the rear nipple so it will sit flush.

Holy shit. I read about the plate and it doesn't make any sense.

                  Car looks awesome.

Hey thanks a lot guys! Yeah I'm re-building slowly but surely. I would love to have the car done by Import Alliance in Atlanta. Also submitted for Wekest in Chicago. I have one more payment on the Weds and they should be home. I have to order my management and plates for the bags soon but, I should be ordering those in the next couple weeks after taxes come back. I got in my new fender so I have to still roll it and put that on. SO MUCH TO DO!

You powdercoated everything a textured finish?!
