But I'm def sure that the W124 is wider than a 201
That's what I was thinking but it can't be much wider right? Luckily I don't also have those weird 500e replica fenders as depicted in the pic you sent. Mine are only 55mm wider up front so it shouldn't look to out of place. Think of it as a good way to show off my stupid dirty Mercedes radiator and make me seem lower.
I've recieved some stuff in the mail!
Two 2.5 inlet to 3.5 outlet dual tips.
Might I mind you these are so big, like so freaking big it's ridiculous. But I have a V8 benz so I can pull them off
Welding is decent on these I just need to find a way to get mount hangars to the chassis on the other side. I'll be running a full hatless straight pipe back to these babies.
Also please don't start to put Bmw parts on a Benz.
Implying I'm not fitting E36 coilers, a M3 bumper, and swapping my beautiful Merc V8 for an S52........I'm kidding. sorta. At least about the last part.

Whatever. It's your car man. I'm not gonna tell you what to do with it anymore...
OK, that was a lie
No but for real; just do it. Worst that could happen is that you have to buy that AMG rep kit that you wanted to buy in the first place

Hahaha true!
Anyways heres a mock up of one side for you guys... Turns out I'm going to have to cut out my spare tire well and weld it up higher but whatever the exhaust is gonna make my car look 100x better. It's not like I can use a spare anyways seeing as I don't have a full size one that fits yet. Whatever here's a pic.
And here's a pic of my brothers car and my lil jar squater.
Should be getting the exhaust done next week if all goes well.
Little update, haven't updated in a while because funds have been getting me down and I've had some boring mechanical problems. I'm going to be both learning about and repairing the parking brake drum on the 400 because somethings going wrong back there. What I thought at first was a wheel bearing is most likely (hopefully) just a parking brake mechanism failure. It sounds like a metal on metal scratching and scraping sound but also sounds like there is debris or metal getting tossed around in a tin can. Spooky stuff but it drives fine. Thought I might post some photos that I take regularly of the boat. I still need to order my euro headlights and corners along with the retainers to straighten them out.
Love this shot of the rear mostly because it showcases the stupid amount of came in the back and I love the way cars look with rain on them after the rain stops. I'm also considering chrome pin-striping my taillights for a vip look but I'm not sure if I'm gonna bite the bullet yet because I don't know if it will go with the blue. Anyway here's an nude.
Oh and a co-worker at my day job decided to chalk my tires AND lips . anybody have a good tips to clean the RS style faces? someone said toothbrush but I feel like a bottle squeegee would work far better, any info would be appreciated.
Oh and if anyone cares about my ground clearance in the back
and lastly the money shot from this morning. I can't wait till this thing has the euro headlights it's going to change the car completely.
I can recall the screeching E-brake mechanism issue. That shit happens when your lugs are too long. They will snap off the sping retainer of the E-brake lining and will cause the scraping sound. I still have to fix it on mine, since mine snapped when driving on the RW's towards DMPD 2013. I removed the whole mechanism and never touched it ever since

So you just have no parking brake now? I actually go shorter lugs but I'll see, apparently too long of lugs makes a clicking sound and not a screeching?

Yes, and Kinda Yes.
It starts with clicking for a short amount of time, eventually followed by a "Kliiiing" -snapping sound and that one ends in the screeching sound.
But in your case I can imagine that your insanely loud NASCAR exhaust made it impossible for you to hear that

Although I didn't hear a clicking sound coming from the back, theres still a chance I could have missed it. My current exhaust is still just the stock 400e exhaust with the rear muffler cut, so it's loud but not NASCAR loud, yet. Those tips and straight pipe will being on as soon as I have the funds to do it. I'll check later theres a chance it was the lugs and I didn't realize.
