  • The Lowish E36 Daily Touring

    Hello!
English is not my native so sorry for spelling errors

This is my story about my BMW E36 Toruing.

First car was mazda 323p. had it for half year. Didint know much about car`s then. all 4 suspensions were leaking, and had engine oil leak aswell. So I sold it. Then I found the bmw on carsite, fell in love, and bought it.

Letsīs get started on the tread. (Most of the pick are taken with phone)

Manufactured in 96. Made in Germany, spent more than 10 years in Italy and someone brought it over to Estonia.

    The day I bought it.

Colored the lungs black, didint like the chrome trimm

Did some photoshoot with local low Mazda. The day I knew that I need to order coilovers fast.

Oh what do we have here. Ta Technix. Cheapest coilovers out there.

The day we got it lowered.

Sat like this for some time

Found a Twin for my car (kinda) Saw the rims, and knew I have to get something nicer to my car.

Perfect. Found BMW style 5 for cheap. Didint think through, 15 inch wheels are too small.

Had a photoshoot with my car

Yep, that's me on the second photo.

Somewhere between the lowering and buying small wheels I managed to do interrior uptade.
New door fabric and joystick aka gearbox leather.

    Door fabric.

    Gearbox leather. Before vs after.

And now to Winter mode. 15'' Steelies painted matte white.

Next Summer I need 16'' or 17'' wheels. Thinking about Borbet A.
All pictures uploaded through Facebook that's explains the bad quality.

    Nice and tidy.
Steelies are on the cards for my Polo, can't go wrong with them when it comes to a simple build

you did a damn good job on those door cards, a lot of times it doesn't look very good when people do patterns because they get wavy

Didint like the smoker back so removed one ashtray, gonna do the same with the other one.
Still need something to cover up the 2 holes. And as i can see on the photos my interrior needs cleanup.

          So 2016 August allready.

          As I sed Borbets.

Random Winter Snap / Got Foglights also. And my own DSLR so better pics.

Bought Borbet A 16x7.5 and 16x9 - started peeling the old paint of- 7 layers of paint and 4 layers of clearcoat.

So got them on eventualy. Never ever going to strip paint off from wheels, going to let someone do the job.

          No fender roll? no problem.

          How it sits now

And the old blue interrior started to sog up again, removed it, used brown leather. Brown leather didint flex and got all wobbly, so new interrior is Tom And Jerry, Mickey mouse and Donald The Duck.
