    Thanks man!!

Picked up a bunch of parts for the winter. Gotta keep myself busy I guess.

Picked up a turbo smart iwg with the 14psi spring. This is gonna be a nice upgrade over the stock one. I'm quite excited to fit that.

Also bought a turbo smart mbc to replace the el cheapo one I had. I was super close to pulling the trigger on the their electronic unit. But at a $400+ price tag.. I thought I'd hold off.

Picked up another small msd box. This one retards my timing on start up and goes back to initial timing once the key has been released. I'm kinda annoyed that I didn't start out with a kit like cb's black box that does it all. Oh well.. it's all down to learing I guess.

Ordered my front bags with custom threaded things.. b.o.c. Because A. I'm cheap and B. I'm in no particular rush to drop a silly amount of money on bags again. So I'll complete the kit in the spring and get that all fitted.

Picked up unix flip kit. I'll probably do that when I notch my frame. Seems like a nice kit.. a little expensive. But reviews were good and it's good to support a Canadian company!

While on a small spending spree, I picked up an innovative water temp gauge. Since the swap, the dash temp gauge never worked right. So this is gonna be nice to get a solid idea how hot this heap is running.

I'll probably get their digital boost gauge to complete the set, at some point. Trying to look at the analog vdo gauge is kinda sketch when on boost.

And then the time had come to finally shoot my car for PVW.

Here's a few shots from the shoot.. we will probably do some more in the spring. A few rollers and maybe some shots at a different location.

Well.. busy summer for me and the cabby.

During a tuning session piston number 3 died, blowing a hole right through the top. Totally my fault. Either my spark plugs were to hot or my timing was too advanced.. long story short.. it detonated, real quick with no warning.

So the hunt began for a new bottom end. Being an aba.. you would think it would be easy to find one laying around in someone's garage, Nope. After a few deals fell through, I became impatient. Me and my buddy hit p&p.. pulled a block out pretty quick.

Got it home and started tearing it down, this time round i knew what i was doing, so it was pretty quick. Pulled everything off.. de-greased and sanded it down, the same night. Painted and put it back together the following day.

In-between messing around with that, I ordered JE forged pistons, those dropped my compression ration down to a flat nine, arp head studs and a new msd timing computer. This one is sweet, it comes with a internal boost sensor, it retards the timing from 0 to 3 degrees per lbs of boost. It has a dash mounted dial, which I can control rom the dash, which is nice.

Once the pistons came in, I pulled them out and re honed the block with the help of my good friend. The same friend that came over to my place when i was away on vacation, he pulled the old block and trans for me.

With the engine ready, the pistons went back in, torqued everything up and put it all back in, the same night.

While that was going down.. I had a custom shifter made for the cabby. It was made from recycled skate decks. It came out real nice, it was drilled, tapped then fitted.

Tires were mounted and balanced by the guys at Calgary autoworks, they did a great job and I'm super happy with my tire choice. Anyways.. On car pic..

That will be pushing it. I'm gonna say probably not just to be safe. Hopefully it can make sylvan lake once the car clubs can decide a date.
