Sorry for the slow updates! And sorry this one isn't all that interesting. Again, this one takes place in the 30-day interim where there's just lots of missing photos. I'm sorry

If you look at the last photo of the last post (I'll do you the favor of posting it below), you'll see we jumped forward in progress a little bit. There's a main hoop in place, along with the A-pillar bars, the dash bar, and the roof cross bar.



If you use your imagination, and think about those tubes getting made and going in, it'll make up for missing photos, which is pretty cool if you ask me.

Anyway, keep that imagination running, because we're gonna repeat those same steps of making tubes.



The next step in setting up the rear end was to support it, and you can see the beginnings of our method of choice, here. You can also see where we began to modify the subframe with new mounts, too. Don't judge too hard, as we went back and changed a bit more of it later.



Another view, with the subframe changes above. From the main hoop, the rear supports come down and meet with the upper subframe mounts for maximum support.

From there, we began to "X" the rear supports in.





This is where our first challenges in coping came along. Not nearly the hardest by any stretch, but it's where we got our feet wet with "complex" stuff.



And there's the completed X, as well as a main hoop diagonal!

I took lots of photos as we coped tubes, but didn't include them because they don't really say a lot.
Is that the kind of stuff you guys want to see in this thread? There are some segments where I took step-by-step pictures of arguably silly stuff, which I am sure is totally unnecessary since this isn't an instruction how-to.

So tell me, how in depth of photo (when available) do you guys want?

Love reading your build threads. The first rusty build thread was one of my favorite reads. Kudos for turning around a terrible situation and building something absolutely incredible. The legend of Rusty really is an inspiring story. Look forward to seeing what else you have in store man!
