  • I did something stupid this weekend. Minivan content.

As some of you know I have a few projects. My first car Porsche 944, my 74 Bmw 2002, the 73 Bmw 2002, and keeping the glove box door glued on my 97 M3, the last thing I needed was another project. Well on Wed of last week one of my customers walked up to me, and said, "Hey my minivan is for sale, want to come look at it?" "Why the hell would I want a minivan? Im 32 single and I dont have any kids?" "No.... not a minivan, my mini............van."

Needless to say we immediately made plans to meet up, I checked it out and we made the deal. There wont be much progress for the next few weeks since I cant pick it up until then but I wanted to share the pics.

I call this the ranch, its where I keep the ponies.

    And of course a spare.

Misc stuff. Its coming with tons of spares but I didnt bother taking pics.

The interior is a blank slate, and there some small rust areas to address. All and all its a really straight car.

No I didnt need another project, and yes it will probably push the white 02 to the back burner, but when was I going to have another chance to find something like this. Also something 90% rust free and less than an hour away.

The engine/trans set up is a little intimidating. They are one unit and they share oil. Haha

Alright, I got it home today. I think my trailer was a little overkill.

Even on the trailer I am still taller than it.

Got it wheeled into its spot in the garage.

Got all the parts out of the interior, I think its going to need a little more work on the floors than I thought.

Then I decided to soak the cylinders with marvel mystery oil, the engine is locked up. I figured it would be work a try. I was trying to get to the engine and the front fell off....

After that I cleaned the 10 plus years of dirt off of it.

The paint is actually in decent shape.

And of course, I had to set one of the seats in it. I fit......ish. Haha

So I grabbed a big screw driver tonight and dug into the floorboard rust. It's not great but it could be worse.

                        It's fixable.… I think.

After that I pulled the radiator off.

Then I decided to try to turn the locked up engine.

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Looks like I might be able to save the engine. I'm stoked.
