So I figured I'd document my build on here and get some opinions from a broader audience since I've mainly stuck to the Audi forums. I'm basically going to catching this thread up to date whenever I get time so this isn't all going to be in real time.
So here we go, earlier this year (February) during my senior year of High School I was browsing good old craigslist and found a seemingly clean 1999.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro in Light Silver Metallic with 155k miles on the clock and a 5-speed manual for only $900. The catch, the timing belt had come loose and it didn't run. I scarcely had the money to buy the thing, but I reasoned that with my summer job I could get her running in time for college at the end of summer. I called up the seller and a couple days later I was towing home my first project, the first car I purchased with my own money!
Here are a few pics from when we got her to our friend's shop where it would sit until the end of winter (my dad wasn't too keen to give up his spot in the garage when it was so cold haha)

She may have been a stunner back in mid '99 when she was new, but the years had not been kind. The front bumper was wrecked from being back into a million times in the city

As was the rear (theres also a huge chunk of paint missing that I didn't get in this shot)

Trunk was dented and the clear coat was peeling

The interior was beyond trashed too, but I'll put all that in my next update. The car was in a pretty sorry state, but it had no rust, and the clutch and turbo only had 15k miles on them so it seemed like a decent purchase. Initially I was just going to make it run and call it a day, make it a beater. But I quickly decided that if I was going to spend all this time and money on it, there was no way I was going to end up with a beater. She would be a Stunner once more, or at least something close haha.
Thanks for looking, Stay tuned for more!
