  • Way to Wide 1985 Mk2 golf

    Hi, I'm Jason,

Been here for a while, not posting to much, but I thought it was time to make a topic of my project car.

It's a Mk2 golf from 1985 that already had some love from the previous owner.

    Where it al began:

That's where the anti rust department jumped in:

    Yeah these things happen..

Al the rust got cut out and new plate's were welded into it, also the got the same original color.

This is where I jump in:

Had some problems with my computer, but here is where I jump in

Drove the car home and just great, drive's mint but has some issues with cold starts
    'home'

So what next? it's a clean base to start with, rust free, and original as it could be from the factory..
So I started to look for wheels and after looking for almost 1 month, I found these puppy's

Specs? 3 piece, 4x100, 14inch, 9j in the front, 10j in the back and rare as *****

But with these small wheels, you better be low too, but I don't want to ruin this nice car,
the solution, wen't back to the previous owner because he also had this laying around

And after a long day with the help of a friend (we had no pneumatic tool)
    We had this:

    And this

So the cauges looked like this when I got them:

the dude used an old t-shirt to upholster it.

So I made something myself out of an old wooden door:

So you guys probably want to see the whole car?

So here it is! it's from the one and only car meet I did so far with it (engine trouble)
Won first price best of wheels and got to sit between all the VIP selected cars

Picture's I found on the Facebook pages that people took.

We where with 4 people in my car and really had some fun driving this oldschool even if it was so hot and I had no A/C in it.

              goodnight

Yeah I like it, but if I keep the car, I might extend them +/- 3cm

                    don't mind the dust
