I love seeing homebrew widebodies. Spectacular work.

Go apply at Rocketbunny or something.

    Thank you!
There will be more comming soon,i'm talking about custom made parts as the Corrado didn't get to many options when it come to aftermarket parts.

started a topic First time into the widebody world

First time into the widebody world

    Hey there,

Since i got the driver license i was a VW guy, after owning 12XMk3's one day i met an old friend who told me about his Corrado. After we took a ride to the place where he was keeping it i asked him about selling it to me and for a decent offer i was the new owner.
The car was a g60 at base but my friend swapped the g60 for an vr6 engine but he kept the 4X100 brakes. The first thing i did to the car was swapping the brakes to vr6 ones and them swapping the engine to the vr6 turbo i had in my old Mk3's(This one).

Few months later i stripped the car and took it to the paint shop for a fresh paint. Also i upgraded the brakes to the 312mm's Audi S3 brakes and changed the wheels for some 18's BBS.

AAaaaand here comes the hard part of this build. After seeing so many Liberty Walk style car's i decided i'll want mine to be the first Corrado that will have it done. Over the winter i found the perfect wheels for it, 18X10 et 25 Superconcave BBS RSII all around.
The work started and the first on list were the fenders, to make more room for new wheels.
    front .
As we had more room for new wheels the work on widebody started. The front fender flare was in progress then was the rear which took the next shot , the sideskirts i already had when the work started and as they fitted the style we aproached we decided to keep them as they were from factory. One side done THe time has come for the left side
    Wing time
    Wide much!?
    First moldings
Meanwhile i went for an rear lover and i think this one goes well with the rest of the widebody parts.
We have the fender flares done so we took our time to test fit them and drill the holes to have them on
First time having all the parts on :

As the parts were done i just pass them to the paint shop to have them body color matched :

Meanwhile the wheels got a fresh paint and the Audi RS6 brakes calippers have been adapted to fit Corrado The lover was almost done too

After all these months and hundreds of working hours at, the car was almost complete

    Lovers on :

I'm curently working on the engine bay to have it cleaner
Still many stuffs to do and many parts to have fitted but as my deadline is Wothersee 2016 there are still 6 months till then so enough time to save up some money and to finish the car for it.
