  • The Adventures of Ratchet and Boy Wonder

I haven't done a build thread in awhile so why not start one now....

I purchased this 1993 e36 325i from a guy in PA for $1900 and made the 3 hour trip back to WV. My whole intent was to build a drift missile and daily it during the spring and summer. I've always owned nissan and honda so I was excited to finally mess with a different platform. The car came with gutted interior and the following parts:

    93 325i
    -M3 bumpers/Misc Parts
    -Coilovers
    -Walboro 255 fuel pump
    -Bigger injectors
    -Chipped ecu
    -Corbeau seats
-Harness bar with 5 point harnesses
I haven't done a build thread in awhile so why not start one now....

Picked up a set of Vette wheels and lowered the car for the trip to Springfest, The car did great for the 4 hour trip down to Va Beach and the trip back. Noticed while driving back that the car wanted to overheat while in traffic. Got home and straight into my buddies shop it went. Come to find out they cut the wires to the fan becuase it no longer worked . Parts were ordered and the overheating problem was fixed .

Daily it for awhile then got tired of the wheels, so picked up a set of og san 17x10 et20 for a decent price. Felt like the car was good enough for now so back to daily it. Went to a local drift event and the worse thing happened as leaving the event. Cracked my oil pan!!!! YAYYYYYYYY.

Car sat for awhile as I had no time to fix the problem. I work 9 hours shifts at my base in Wv so time was limited. Finally got some time on a weekend and did a half ass job repairing the crack pan. I prefer the bimmer over my bagged fit . Drove the car for about a week and BOOM!!!! again cracked the pan. This time the car sat for awhile with the intent on just changing the oil pan instead on doing another repair.

Thought since I had to do the oil pan, why not just boost the car. Owning a few boosted cars already i miss the power gain and started to piece a kit together. Decide to pick up a cx racing intercooler kit and turbo manifold for a good deal. I was hesitate on the manifold but figured I would give it a shot. Tial wastegate and greddy bov were the next parts acquired. Then my search for a gt35r was at hand with a few other parts that i need to finish the kit for the most part.

More to come on the next adventure.......stay tuned

Im back with some more adventures...

So look what I found!!!! Half ass made coupler for the ICV and CCV

Waiting on parts over the weekend with nothing to do. So took a short trip to a local lake to do some fishing.

YAYYYYYYYYY PARTS!!!!!!!! I must say Mishimoto packaging is on point. Also bought a replacement ICV because mine keeps humming/buzzing with the ignition in off and its killing my battery. So another problem to figure out .....

          Stay tuned!!!!

Does staying tuned have something to do with that V8 block sitting in a bin?

Yes sir, I'm running the m50 motor completing stock on 9psi. During the winter I plan on building this 350 sbc and once the m50 goes boom. I will be swapping it into the e36.

                UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES!!!!

Finally found the parasite drain that was killing my battery and the reason why the icv was constantly buzzing. My main relay was burnt out allowing power to constantly be supplied to the icv plug. Only found this after tearing the whole car apart looking for shorts. The e36 is now pushed out and my buddies rx7 is in the garage to get prep for vinyl wrap . You can find his build thread here http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=74201

I'm watching a fat chick on divorce court and the Judge just said that beauty is within the soul. I VIAMENTLY DISAGREE!!! One thing I don't disagree with is this build.

I agree college life sucks man, it's always difficult to get anything done on the car during the semester. Love this build so far, wicked jealous of the turbo M50.

A little something for the future, once the m50 decides to give out.
