Hey guys!
Bought myself a Soarer in March 2014 and have been building it since then.
Im coming towards the end of the build now, maybe 6 months work left (depending on how much money I have to put in to it) but decided its about time I created a build thread for it.
Lets start with the day I bought it, she wasn't very pretty, needed a lot of TLC and had some ugly as hell "Lexus style" headlights but had a few really nice features that I could work with. Including a set of 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 Work Rezax1 wheels which were in terrible condition but had a lot of potential, but we will come back to them later!

From there I proceeded to strip out all the junk that I didn't need anymore. The stock radiator, the air conditioning and the factory side mount intercooler all got scrapped.

As well as binning off the little factory twin-turbos that the 1JZ under the bonnet came with

Which opened up a lot of space in the engine bay ready for the mid mount intercooler I decided I wanted to run

Enough about the engine though, this is Stanceworks after all!
Next up came a set of HSD MonoPro Coilovers to bring the massive coupe down to a Stanceworks worthy height

Now you can see the Work wheels I mentioned earlier. At 8.5" et45 and 9.5" et45 wide they were no where near manly enough for what I wanted! So I stripped them down and sent the centers away to be sand blasted ready tor some fresh paint

All 4 were done but I only took pictures of 2 or them. Unfortunately, many years of being poorly looked after by the previous owner has left them pitted and far from perfect. But I think they will be fine with a lick of paint. I as I dont have the centre caps I had the threads machined off to give them a cleaner look.

Now for the long wait for the new lips to arrive from the states!!!
I got very lucky on eBay and managed to pick up a BRAND NEW unpainted facelift front bumper and some pretty tatty OEM headlights

Which with a good polish came up good as new!

I also fitted my a new 50mm aluminium radiator and started mocking up the intercooler piping

It looks mean with no front end on it!

THEN THIS ARRIVED!!!

and I bolted a little Holset HY35 Turbo on to it

The internal wastegate didn't stay though. I had the back of the turbine housing milled off, welded the internal gate closed and replaced the stock 2.5" V-Band outlet with a 3" stainless V-Band outlet.

Mocked up my dump pipe and intercooler pipes one final time then took them to be welded

Sand blasted the valve covers and had the factory breathers and PCV welded shut. Welded -10AN fittings in to the top for my catch can setup. It has also beed painted black and fitted back on to the car. But I haven't got any pictures of that yet.

BACK TO THE GOOD STUFF!!! My new lips arrived from America!!! Time to start rebuilding the wheels.
Fresh galaxy purple paint on the centers to start

I got a bit carried away building the wheels (I was way to exited...) i forgot to take photos.
Buy here is the finished product! 18x10.5 et20 and 18x11.5 et20

So that's pretty much where its at right now! I'm getting tyres fitted next week and I cant wait to get the wheels back on the car!
Things left to get done:
FIT TYRES!
Get an alignment
Build an exhaust
Buy a new bonnet (Il explain this next time...)
Buy an ECU
New tail lights
Few styling bits
and
PAINT!
Let me know what you guys think, I know shes far from pretty ATM with different colour panels and unpainted bumpers. But its getting there.
Cheers guys!
Il leave you with photos of test fitting the freshly re-built rear wheels
