I assume you are using a plasma cutter to cut the metal brackets, and then running them over a belt sander to make them pretty? If not, please do tell me your secret to nice brackets.

Holy frame notch! I love where this is heading with a proper powerplant under the hood. The straight 6 probably makes fitting those wheels in the engine bay a hell of a lot easier.
