Its time for the next big leather update which some of you are going to really like & some of you are not.

In the last year the car has become just a show car & its not used for anything else accept a few local meets.

So to finish it off i decided to buy this below off andy, some of you will remember this pic.

And to go with the look of the rest of the car i had an idea, which i spoke to john about & 6 months later he sent me these pictures.

The cage has been covered in foam first & then the grey leather with blue stitching to match the rest of the car.

We arranged for me to go to john's the day before gaydon to get the cage fitted.

First the front seats had to come out.

Then the rear bench & side bolsters.

The next problem was getting the cage in,which took some time & some good ideas from John.

Then John had to modify two old foam bolsters to fit around the cage ( which actually keep the cage in place ), which he did & then covered then in some nice new black leather, they look like they have always been in there & they were fitted in the factory.

All fitted with the front seats back in.

    Mine & John's car together.

I can only say again & again how good John's work is & what a great job he has done for me with the cage.

Some pics of my car from the show on sunday.

Oh yeah as you probably all know i got home a day later than i should as this below happened on the way home.

But before you all ask nothing happened to the rim, thank god.

Just a little update which i been meaning to do for a while & is the only part which i think was letting the car down. ! So looking as the rear window seals/ledges were on there way out & a little rotten/twisted,also at the same time the rear screen rubbed needed replacing i decided to order some new side window ledges and seals top and bottom + rear screen rubber.

            Side ledges before.

            Rear screen before

            New ledges fitted.

            New rear screen rubber fitted.

Good little mod with a massive improvement which really finishes the exterior of the car off,im very happy with how they look.

I love your car....down right beautiful. The cage is nice but seams like its not structural at all...it seems to big and bulky for the e36 but covering it makes it look sick. Is the cage bolted down? the way you showed it seem like you just set it in and didnt actually bolt/weld it in? just asking but other than that the car is perfect!

                              Just a small update.

Finally got the wheel put back together with the new barrel & new tyre fitted.

                              Wheel back together.

Also picked up a cheap set of fog lights (thanks rogrieguez) as i didnt what to take the lamin-x off the ones i had on the car,so now i can go for both looks, clear fogs when the ambers are fitted & the yellow ones when the smokes are.

                              New fogs.

                              New fogs fitted.

I think these make the front end look so much better with the ambers fitted,as with the yellow fog there was too much going on.

I hope you all agree me,will get some better pics up soon plus a new leather update.
