  • My Daihatsu

    Hi,
I live in London with my parents
Currently battling two very great forces of Evil
    Bank Account & Insurance Company

    i own a Daihatsu Sirion 4trak 1.3l

    its my first car
    its also my daily
2 owners old lady then me
Had it for 2 years 2 months.
not been serviced since i owned it
    the exhaust is blowing
    rear bushings need replacing
    rust patches
interiors great (lost the parcel shelf though)
    battery dies incredibly fast
    rusted brake drums
    rusted calipers

the original plan was to bag it. but every time i saved up i blew the money on something else. so i got pissed with my procrastinating self and finished my paycheck within a week buying coil overs, rims, and paying some bills.

here's the parts i have so far. some I've had for a long time, some for a couple of months, some a few hours.

    Battery

    Sub Woofer

    Amp

    Wipers

PB Brakes Coilover Kit with Pillow ball mounts

Wheels Appliance Industries 1976 Mags 15x7 4x114.3(I think)

I got five for £175 the previous owner said they came off a 70's Datsun 240z but he also said they were 16x8 and there actually 15x7.

i do need to purchase a lot more parts. i know that on stance works that you love extremely clean cars. this is my daily. the body and engine bay has some rust.

But my priority is to stance, it then service it. everything else can wait. the last picture it the worse a little hole has started developing
i havnst started building yet need to get some more parts when i get paid. i havnt been idle though ive been scrubbing the rims but thats for another thread
    So thats all folks.

It should look like this with different rims, no roof rack and a little lower.

p.s. if you live in the UK and would like to teach me the way of the stance
private message me I'l gather up all the parts drive down to you and we can build this thing together. it doesn't matter to me where you live as long as we can do everything in a day.

1: service it before you slam it because if the car dies after you buy all these parts for it, it will be a waste
2: it's hard to compare what yours "should" look like if the comparison picture has no rust and nice wheels
    3: stance ain't cheap
4: it usually doesn't happen overnight, or even 1 day

Can you do body work to remove rust? Because you either have a lot of time ahead of you or a lot of money to spend

Yep, maintenance and rust repair first, mods later. I don't know how you guys do it where they salt the roads...

You might consider whether those wheels are going to make it onto your project or not. If they're off an S30, they are indeed 4x114.3, and you'll have to adapt. Adapters are typically in the 25-35mm range, and since those already are liable to be pretty low offset, you might wind up with a pretty goofball overall offset. It would be worth measuring, at the very least.
