Hey all, im pretty new to this forum, but i am very happy i found this forum, this has gotta be the best forum i've ever belonged to... there is such a wonderful array of cars here. Its awesome to see big ballin dollar cars and alot cheaper cars hanging together.
so awesome place peoples!

anyways, ive been telling my wife lately i really wanted to get another version of my first car...
my first car was a 1991 Honda prelude Si. and i was pretty excited, but it soon went away as i found after paying for it, that it had massive amounts of rust and had been in an acident and pourly repaired, the rear brakes stuck all the time, and the kid that had it at some point in its life had cut open the rear deck and installed speakers and just basically raped the car in all respect...
so it was short lived, but i missed the car ever sinse i got rid of it... after it took me through half my junior year and most of my senior year of H.S.
so fast forward, i am telling my wife i want a prelude again, but i can hardly find a manual transmission one of the 3rd generation like i had... so i expanded my search alittle... and i came across my new baby...
a 1987 honda prelude with a 1.8L SOHC... it had a manual, and was at 231K on the clock, alittle high mileage, but the seller claimed it had a broken timing belt... and he wanted 800$... so after a week of negotiations i picked it up for $500 today...
the reason i did like it also, is its all original, it had a bra on it, stock hub caps, OEM prelude mudflaps, and there were only about 3 small areas of concern for rust... and the whole pinch weld was fine except a small 2inch section was slightly bent. it doesnt even have tinted windows!
its alittle rough, and needs lots of TLC, but for $500 it couldnt be beat too much...
so we got it home, and i put in my new battery from my 2009 civic LX sedan (my new civic has a passwordJDM battery relocation kit and PC680 on the frame rail)
the new battery had been sitting for a few months, so we jumped it off the new civic, and we got the starter unstuck and it started to want to fire (it was turning over) so thats good... so i had my wife turn it over, and i popped the oil fill cap off and i checked the valve springs movement... and guess what! they were moving... so the timing belt isnt broken...
it also helps to tell that the guy i bought it from also got his "timing belt" diagnosis from a friend via the phone, and his friend simply said "its a honda, its the timing belt" when the guy said it just stalled on the highway...
so im happy, the valve springs moved, it turned over, so tomorrow im going to check for spark, because i smelt fuel...
anyways, onto pictures! sorry for babling, but this is my first build thread and i cant wait to get started with updates!
Coming home(im pretty happy the tow company used a flat bed instead of a bull behind)

paints pretty rough, but i have plans for maybe a possible urban camo rattle can job, or maybe army green...

sitting next to its big brother

engine bay... DUAL CARBS FTW! im glad i dont have to deal with any computer issues...

plans are:
wood trim steering wheel and knob... rattle can paint, fresh up of everything to make it alittle nicer, new seats maybe integra seats... A/C, P/S deletes and everything not needed for sunday strolls with the windows down. and fix everything that helps with the operation of the car... then SLAM IT (slamming it will probably come right after its reliable)
also, i know we live in apartments, but my wife is getting ready to be done with nursing school, so its only my income... we are planning to move to much nicer ones in 2months, ones that have garages!
