Not really an update but the car made it to Wörthersee and back without bigger issues.
Last weekend a buddy and I drove to Southern Gardasee in Italy, had a little accident due a pothole on the italian highway; the rim scuffed at the coilovers in the front because of the negative camber. Fixed it on the highway and finally made it to the lake and one day later back home.
The italian streets were horrible, I've destroyed my underfloor and sticked at speed bumps. Static life I guess, ha. Yes, she's lower now after I've cut the hilarious rubber buffers.
Here she's sitting pretty in front of an italian perfumery

The car looks great, I actually really like the brown but this was the first thing I had questions about too haha. What engine is in the passat? VR6? I love this little trailer.. I would love to tow with a car in the US instead of needing a truck or SUV

Took her out for the first time this year. It's a bit early and the streets around are still dirty af but who cares?
The parts finally came in, now I'm gonna make her ready for Wörthersee.
Lil bit of camber, lil bit of tyrestretch - Nothing too wild, I'm still in Switzerland.

How'd you go about that? Welding is obviously needed. Any build pics of those steps?

Great build!
Did the single round Golf front end come standard over there? Or did you guys swap it out?
