I just joined and I posted an intro thread but I didn't know where else to put this but this seemed like the closest so whatever. I want a car to stance really bad soon but I am having trouble deciding on what car to buy. I want something easy to work with because although I have been interested in cars all my life I have never stanced one before. Also, something similar to either a Subaru WRX STI or a Bmw m3 e30 either one of those styles but cheaper because I cannot afford cars that expensive. My budget is like anywhere from 5k to 10k, I know that is cheap but I will buy used for sure. Thanks for any help!

Move this to a more appropriate part of the forum and i'd be glad to help. You should probably move it to the intro section.
EDIT: i suppose i'll answer on your intro post.Last edited by Robitussin; 07-09-2015, 11:50 PM.e28 build thread

You could get an E30 but an E36 is little easier to work on and get low,
I could go on about how the e36 is better and in your price range but the e30 is really good tooSugar Mama Build - http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=73298

Seriously, 90% of us had a budget of between $500 and $2500 of hard earned cash for our first cars. If you can't find a car that you like for under 10 grand you're doing it wrong.Originally posted by Lus146 View PostMy budget is like anywhere from 5k to 10k
Also, don't buy a car to "stance", buy it because you really like the car, and what it has to offer. Then modify it. Buying a car for scene points is ridiculous. You can't really be a car guy if all you want to do is "stance" it, and that's all you care about.

oh yeah

i bought my car because ive always wanted an impreza, i would have preferred a wrx but money didn't allow that so i ended up with a n/a 2.5i impreza. since there wasnt really any way to make it fast without a swap i decided to lower it (i feel the word stance is to strong for where im at lol) what im saying is like others have said. don't buy a car just because you want to make it low. especially if this is your first car and you really don't know what you're doing. the smart thing to do would be to get a reliable daily and get another cheap car with potential and lower that one.

I assume the owner of this thread is young. With that being said, it wouldnt be very smart for he or she to get 2 cars.. Because insurance will be expensive in the first place and now TWO cars? Plus its really not practical.Originally posted by storey618 View Posti bought my car because ive always wanted an impreza, i would have preferred a wrx but money didn't allow that so i ended up with a n/a 2.5i impreza. since there wasnt really any way to make it fast without a swap i decided to lower it (i feel the word stance is to strong for where im at lol) what im saying is like others have said. don't buy a car just because you want to make it low. especially if this is your first car and you really don't know what you're doing. the smart thing to do would be to get a reliable daily and get another cheap car with potential and lower that one.
Lus146, I myself owned a car when I was 15 back Xmas 2013... It was a 1965 major project that sat in the grass.... Nothing got done to it and I sold it. My point is you should keep your purchase on the up end of your budget... So things stay simple work wise.
A good car would be a Subaru of the early 2000s becaue you can actually get a WRX for a little under 10k (sometimes) or you can get an e46 non m3 and have a super clean slate to work with... There is a lot more but you said Subaru and Bmw. Good luck in the future
