  • MK 4 Ford Fiesta from Portugal

Guys from the USA: yes.. it's a Ford.

This is my little mate. Powered by Yamaha 1242cc. petrol engine*...

Or in the present "WTF?" wheel set: (yes... Fushia Pink OZ's)

I've owned it form 5 years now so I've been doing some mods.

The engine still remains pretty much stock, just added a K&N 57i intake kit and removed the rear silencer. Around August I shall have the 125hp 1.7 VCT (Ford Puma) Zetec Sigma engine fitted.

Since it's under-powered (why spending money on a small capacity NA engine?) I've focused the mods. on the suspension / chassis binome, therefor counting with the following parts:

    - Bilstein B8 Shocks
    - Koni -35mm progressive springs (1030 kit)
    - Sparco adjustable front tower-bar
    - OMP rear tower-bar
    - Ford Courrier 1.8 Boss Turbo rear axle (with sway-bar)
    - Ford Fiesta mk3 RS Turbo front brakes (240mm vented) - ATE
    - Power-flex bushes

    - Advan Neova AD08 195/50 R15 tyres on front (Toyo T1-R 195/45 R15 winter set)
    - Toyo R888 195/50 R15 tyres on back (Nexen N3000 radial 195/45 R15 winter set)
    - OZ Superleggera 7.5J x 15 ET42 rims

The rest it's weight... fiber-glass, Dynamat... stereo system (SQ oriented)...

BTW.. the body colour... it's not the original one: I've re-sprayed it on June 2009 with Honda's Pirates Black Pearl.

    * The engine is based on XJR1300 Yamaha motorcycle engine. It's a 4 cilinder, DOHC with variable exhaust (electro-pneumatic vavle). It does 6900rpm having 75hp declared, around 82 real (5000rpm) and 125NM of torque (2250rpm). Features a short-shift, close-ratio 5 speed Getrag (IB5) gear-box.

Yup. 1997 Ford Fiesta mk4 (JBS) 1.25i Techno. A pretty common car around here.
In the States the fiesta is now available... but the 1st model you now know... it's our mark VII.

            A normal one:

Well then.. in the time of my absense, I've been spending some time workin on the car.. so the result is the following: (sorry the bad quality of the photos)

                    Night-time:

Bilstein B16/PSS coil-overs were fitted, among with new tires (fitted today, got no photos as for now). The chosen ones? AD08 Advan Neova's
