Hey guys, Strat from South Africa here.
So we have had a boom in the number of guys keen to get air ride installed and an influx of cheap air kits from place like Brazil to take advantage of this.
They consist of an analog managment setup with wireless remote function which isn't half bad, but their struts seem to be lacking somewhat, compounded by the one size fits all fitment and a host of really dodgy installers.
So I had a friend contact me and say his cheap kit was giving him issues, the droplink tab broke and so he decided it was time to sort the car out properly and fit some Airlift goodies.
So he asked me to help him out, well once i got started, what i found blew me away...

But wait there's more

House wire as power cables, wood screws to hold down the compressor when a glue gun failed. Amplifier base tried to be contact glued down. Amp power cables loose, fell out when I bumped the amp. Relay fitted for compressor was shit, shorted out and almost caught alight when new compressor was fitted. Manifold left loose. Tiny screw into bodywork as ground for everything. Rear bags loosely fitted. All suspension bolts only finger tight. The front struts didn't have correct droplink tab, so one was butchered on, only to snap off whilst driving.
So busy organising a new boot install with v2 management. Replaced the kak with airlift performance front struts and slam series rears.
This from a supposed local highly praised "custom" shop.
