so ive been in long beach looking for apartments and shit so i havent really had time to finish the little things on the car...

update

so the engine and fan are all put back together.
sent the car to custom alignment for an alignment and corner balance. car feels great they did a fantastic job




i also got kind of bored in the meantime and picked up a somewhat shanty 1995 540i.
mechanically its in great shape
2 owners in one family
158k miles and a a stack of maintenance records.

540 interior

so i cleaned up the interior of the cheap 540i i bought and it looks pretty nice
did a few pick n pulls runs to finish everything up
and i ended up with a few goodies

different rear center console with a compartment


and a leather center console


so heres how it looks now ive got a few ideas cooking, you cant see but theres a dove grey champagne fridge in the back ill have to get a picture of that later lol

I've got like an unhealthy ambition to one day have something from the 90s with a phone like that, and to actually make it function in some way. Even if like just getting the interior of it and putting a modern cell phone in lmfao

exactly i just wanted to feel like an executive from the 90s and im in the process of figuring out how to make the phones work somehow, i have the original antenna and booster but not sure how useful that is

Been following this thread. Loving the pics of your 964! She looks fabulous!!
Noticed you had a pic of a HRE 935 Vintage series rim.
I recently commissioned HRE to make the deepest concave they could do for my 930SE rears. They hadn't done the deepest concave before but agreed to do it and close to 6months later I took delivery of the first set of deepest conc 935s and the results speak for themselves.
Been folllowing this thread as I've got my eye on some mods for my ocean blue 964 targa C2. What wheels is a big decision; I've been thinking about another set of shallow-medium concave 935s but what colour combo to go for is major sticking point. I'm currently resorting to just burying my head in the sand and pretending I'm happy with just refurbing' the D90s.
Anyhow I thought you might appreciate some more pics of the HRE 935s and a video of the infamous BBI Autosport 964 on a set of white (looks better than you'd think) 935s! (Pics of my 964 to come).

I absolutely love the hre 935s definitely at the top on my list right now. And thats a gorgeous slantnose couldnt have done it better myself haha.

Im also a huge fan of the bbi 964 and their overall approach to the vehicles they work on, i just recently moved to long beach and ive been planning on heading down to check out their shop.

Ive seen a few interesting sets of bbs oe turbo fans come up recently so i might try to get my hands on a set of those and figure a wheel from there..

Anyhow cant wait to see your 964! love any factory blue and obviously any 964 lol

Lots of people have been starting to run fans again but none will ever look this good imo, ive had a strange fascination with these for a few years and now that i finally have a car itd look correct on its very tempting...


saw lots and lots of history at Canepa group when i visited recently. if you haven't been its a necessity the motorsport museum made me cry with joy.

started off seeing 4 or 5 959s in various states of repair. Canepas the only shop in the us that can do exhaust magic to make them pass smog, idk



and yeah those are racks of 959 parts

probably the most boring car here


and then you start to see the real cool things.. factory 917s and 935s, i didnt really look at the m1 or bugatti eb110 i was drooling over stuttgart things







and as i was leaving i decided this is my new favorite color
