  • First try at this....another mk4 kid

Hey everyone! My names Kyle and I'm 17 years old. I figured I might as well make a build thread to record the progress I make on this car. This is my second mk4 jetta. The first one I didn't modify because it was a 2.0, so when some dude smashed into my car and wrote it off I took the insurance money and bought the 1.8T I've always wanted a couple months ago. Its got a 5 speed, a sunroof and a tan leather interior. This will be a pretty slow build because I'm going to uni next year and most of my money will be put into that. But it will also be sitting in a garage when I'm at school which means lots of time for weekend projects
This is the way I bought it.

It came with FK Streetline coilovers, straight pipe from the cat-back (lol), this ugly badgeless grill, an intake, a forge 008 diverter valve and a unitronics stage 1 tune. It also had a 10mm spacer in the front which made it look kinda silly. So i got new wheels.

Which I'm really happy with. Sorry for the filthiness of the car.

So here's a list of things I will be doing over the next while-
    -O2 sensor
    -boost gauge
-rolled fenders, drop another inch or so
-shave hood notch with proper badgeless grill
    -hardwood trunk
    -downpipe
    -roof rack
Thanks for reading !! I want to keep an OEM + look but I'm open to any suggestions anyone has!

Ive been so busy with exams the past couple weeks I've gotten hardly anything done to the car.

I installed a boost gauge, and Im only hitting 12 psi when im supposed to spike at 18... I did a boost leak test and no leaks in the system. So ill have to figure that problem out soon..

and i installed a kenwood head unit which is pretty nice

I still have one more exam to write so the car will be dropped an inch or so on Monday and ill get a real update going!!

Looks good. I liked the stock wheels better, but it's your car so do you. Good start
