  • my 2nd rover...my 1st range | the off-roader

just finished that killer disco II build to camp and tow my boat with, but it turned out so good, my buddy wanted it and had to sell her off to Texas.

this is my round 2 and I stepped it up to a range and I must say I really love the change.
this is my take on what a range rover should be, in a sea of city dwelling, grocery getters.

I like it. But maybe you can give it a sinister look by painting the lights black F+R or tinting them?

eh...never liked the look. we'll see...always seems tacky to me.
I'd like to take them apart and paint the bodies, but the taillights will not come apart, so it would't look right.

^ I mean...kinda what the OP states. it's built to be used.
this shoot was actually pretty involved...more aggressive terrain than it seems to get where I was.

I don't know why, but I feel like this thing deserve flares and a larger wheel/tire combo! Otherwise, I love it! Nice to see something different being use!

I'd love flares but there is nothing close enough to the arch spec...still working on that.
and bigger? ha...these are basically 33's and it has a 2" lift...you can't go bigger unless converted to a spring suspension which I have zero desire to do. the photos were taken half at ride height, half at full lift.

I've always thought it'd be neat to do something like this to a Range Rover, glad to see someone doing it, and well at that! Nice work man!

I've loved lifted range rovers since Clarkson did this on top gear:

Super cool, wish more people did these things justice!
