Fair enough, if we all liked/did the same thing the car scene would be boring!

And the hub bolt went first I think, so it was an issue with that rather than the coilover! When installing them we had a lot of issues with that corner (the other 3 were fine)...very odd!
Oh, alright then. Assuming from the pictures, you were guys blow torching the hub to get the strut out. Maybe you overheated or over fatigued the bolt so it snapped.
I know what pain can those rear struts be. I was lucky as hell with my seven, as she'd had all struts replaced a while before I got her.I soaked it with WD40 prior to the job and it was all easy peasy. But in my previous e34 that was a nightmare to get those rears out!

Good luck with her. I'll be following the progress of course, as every e38

Drivers rear was the issue for me, original strut was seized in the hub, ended up cutting the lower mount and bush. Then the 10mm end of the rear upper arm snapped undoing the 21mm nut. Cut that off too lol.

BC is not cheap (I run lowtec which is a bit over half the price) so that kind of crap shouldn't have even happened

How the hell did you get your BC's so low??? I've had nothing but trouble trying to get mine that low.
Hey, just to be sure...you know, to drop it really low, you have to give up your spring pre-tension setting and slam it by lowering the spring if you ran out of strut height adjustment...
plus, you could always buy some shorter springs off ebay or wherever...

Mine are normal BC's, bumpstops about 1/4 of original size and bolted straight in! Dam homie, thats weird!

Never seen those wheels before on a low car so that's pretty interesting too, are you planning on attending The Show of Shows this Sunday? If not will I get a chance to see this at Players Classic?
