That is worth consideration. Yeah, its difficult and expensive to build something out of the ordinary. But highly rewarding because its so different than a cookie cutter vehicle.

I'd say keep it black. To do a color change correct is a shit load of work. You don't want to open your doors and see a different color than the outside its annoying. Keep it black save yourself a lot of time and money and plus black makes the car look sinister with the black wheels.

Finally had some time to replace my tired Godspeed coil-overs that came with this car. For sale if anyone wants em, $200. 760-315-2372
The old control arms are for sale as well, or I can sell just the tension rods (s13-z32) These are built tough with strong heim joints, zero play and extremely well made.

They are being replaced with custom DC coil-overs from xcessive manufacturing.

The new control arms from xcessive are awesome! They are not adjustable on the car, and on purpose! This means a much stronger and safer setup. Set it properly and you will be good to go without worry after that. I love the massive heim joints! Remember, if you want more than -2 degrees of camber, you will want to buy the 350z tie rod ends, or you will run out of threads. I was able to get -5.5 and have plenty of threads left.

Dont forget to remove the steel collars from the original lower control arm ball joints and attach them to the new xcessive units ;-p

So I aligned my car to these specs for baseline testing (decided to go with -4 for better response at autocross, my car is 4,000 lbs at least:
                FRONT:
                Camber -4*
                Caster -6*
                Toe - 0 +/-

                REAR:
                Camber -2
                Toe - 0 +/-

A side not, every 2.5 rotations of the lower control arm heim joints gets you about 1/2 degrees of camber.

You can also get more toe adjustment from the rear toe arms, by "massaging" the arm strait.

Got tired of lack of ability to heel-toe for a couple years, decided to fix that issue.

I always love to see progress on this car!
Gives me hope to make my (also heavy) car handle good at some point.

And i have a few suggestions.., as for paint i'd respray it black and keep the chrome.
                    Subtle you know...

Did you think about modify the accessory drive with a lighter pully on the crank and
redesign it to only have one belt?

Maybe a smaller alternator and an electric ps pump too...

Thinking about just leaving as is, paint wise.

and the motor needs a harmonic balancer, so im gonna keep it. not worth the gains. I would rather supercharge it, or throw on my 850cc injector rail/ e85 tune and nitrous kit from my last q45. made an additional 180hp.

an electric ps pump would be more complicated, i need to keep it basic to survive racing and drive home.

And the alternator only drags when fully loaded, plus this beast uses a heavy amount of power drain when all luxury accessories are on. ;-p

good ideas to keep in mind for the future.

Finally got around to making brake ducting for the rotor veins. This system forces air into the center of the rotor veins, effectively cooling both sides of the rotor, amplifying the stock design.

Now I need to do the other side and redo my brake lines.

Thank you for the love! I'm nearing completion and the race dates where it can be seen at auto club speedway October 10-11 . please come out for support ! I wish I could do a lot more, but I'm out of funds. I wantes more aggressive track compound brake pads, harness bar to install my 5-point harness, an r32 gtr diff with clutch LSD, quick release hub and nice steering wheel, hood and side vents, a sound system, and new tint. Hahaha oh well.
