Thanks man I really appreciate it. I definitely agree with you, that's the reason I reached out to him.

Finally after having the parts sitting around for a month or so, I had a full day off to replace the lower control arms and bushings.

Trying to get the car in the air is always a struggle lol…

      IMG_1858

Fresh OEM arms and bushings ready to go in
      IMG_1859

Removed the subframe cover and it clearly has been taking some abuse
      IMG_1861

Next to come off was the stiffening plate
      IMG_1863

Removing the arms and bushings was pretty straight forward other than and fairly easy. Other than the inner ball joint which is a pain to access being that it bolted to the subframe, it was no problem.
      IMG_1864
      IMG_1866

I couldn't allow myself to reinstall the stiffening plate full of road gunk, I took some degreaser and brillo pad to it. I'm pretty anal therefore, I do my best to keep every single part of this car clean and maintain everything working properly.
      IMG_1867

After reinstalling the everything took the car out for a little rip and the minor shimmy at 80 mph was gone. Car feels nice and tight, love the handling aspect of these cars.

The following weekend I submitted and inquiry to park in the VIP section of Clean Culture's event in NY. They declined my submission, I didn't think it was a big deal didn't expect to get in any way. To my surprise when I got there they asked me if I wouldn't mind parking inside with other VIP cars. I accepted and parked aside of some incredible BUILDS.

For a while now I've been wanting amber color corners, side markers, and taillights, but I can't bring myself to pay the amount of money these vendors are charging. So I decided I was going to look for an alternative. I've seen some great results with tinting so I figured I try it out. For only $7 I thought to myself what do I have to lose.
      IMG_1904

After doing one of the corner lights, I was disgusted with the results
      IMG_1905

After that failed experiment, I again couldn't put the taillights back in with all the built up grime. A little elbow grease goes a long way, I'm obsessed.

After putting nearly about 500 miles on the this old broad in a day I figured she was due for a good maintenance wash. Gave her a good cleaning and clay barred the whole car. Not too bad she's do a full detail, probably before and after H20i.

Since I've bought this car I could never understand why BMW would put chrome gills and a chrome grill on this car. I personally don't like chrome or polished accents on sports cars. Some argue it gives it a premium look, I personally feel it doesn't go with the rest of the car especially since the window trim is blacked out. I finally got around to ordering some along with another simple to tasteful interior goodie.

Genuine BMW performance alacantara and brushed aluminum E brake handle to match the already installed shifter and boot.

      New decals as well

Removed the E brake boot, not surprised to find more crud…

      Nice and clean

For some reason the picture makes the shifter boot look faded compared to the E brake boot, but in reality they're a perfect match.

              Those wheels => super cool!

Personally I would have made the black trim on the front quarters and on the hood gloss black..
For more premium look, you know.

Further more it really is a great looking car

Thanks I wanted to stay away from chrome or polished, I drive this a few days a week and chrome or polish is too much to maintain as well as I don't like chrome or polished bits on sports cars.

It has been a while since I've updated this thread, no real major updates on the car, but enjoy the pictures any way…

Shortly after the wash someone snapped this picture of me while I grabbed some breakfast

Made it back without issue and then it was time for a full detail

                        Untitled

After the detail I was a little impressed with the reflection I was able to get out of Tiag silver so I snapped a quick picture. If there's one thing I **** about having a silver car is the lack of dept and shine you're able to capture in pictures no matter how clean the car actually is.

Looking good as usual dude. Although its hardly worth noting but I think changing out the amber reflectors in your front bumper would make a nice difference

Steve my brother!! I've thought about that, but so many people seem to do that or shave them so I'm keeping them.
