Hey everyone, thought I'd make a build thread on my mazda3 here.

Progress has been pretty slow due to being a full time student and having a meh job, but stuff gets done eventually. Definitely not a super boss thread right if that's what you're looking for.

I've definitely got alot to do to improve with this car, but hopefully I'll get to where I want to someday.
It's been a sort of love/**** relationship with my hatch due to the lack of available mods, which got me pretty bored with it. I eventually decided I'm gonna keep it though due to financial reasons and I really shouldn't be buying a new car right now. I've got some ideas in mind for it, anyway. Nothing beats originality.

Anyways, on to the build and such!

4/09

Bought the car with ~60k on it, traded in my '01 MK4 Jetta (2.slow, autotragic). The tranny was going out on the Jetta for the 2nd time, there were tons of electrical problems, and it was just being a lemon. So I had to get into something better.

I originally was looking for an '03ish WRX, but I saw a red mazda3 hatch, always thought they were kinda cool. I did a little research on the car looking at mazda3forums.com and mazdas247.com and they seemed to be good cars. Bought it. Not the best choice but I was in a bad situation and had to get into something.

Got a few minor things like tint, upgraded the lighting like HID's, LED'S replacing the stock lighting, and some other minor things. Debadged/blacked out some things, painted calipers, and wheels.

~9-11 (sept-nov)/09
Got the cat back exhaust from a mazdaspeed3 put on.Sounds nice. Also advanced my timing, did a coolant bypass, and throttle body ground.

Lowered it on Progress sport springs.

Finally started getting into wheels and such. Bought some RX8 wheels on the cheap.
Specs:
18x8 +50

They looked good for awhile.

Did my door cars in plaid fabric. A great cheap mod, I think it turned out good.
Also did a DIY for it on M3F.
Also got a redline shift boot.

Sold the RX8's, I got bored of them. Needed something moar wide. Threw the stockers back on and painted them pink and green. I thought what the hell it's only temporary, might as well change it up.

Also did a full detail on her.

As you can tell, I bought a DSLR since a couple posts back.

Just bought some new wheels! Stoked!

They definitely need work. Going to put 205's up front and probably 225/215 in the rear.
I need moar low. and camber.

I rub like a bitch, I'm getting a fender roll tomorrow, badwayz from here is going to help me .

And yeah the plate relocation is temporary, there's a big washington state patrol campaign going on this month where there are extra patrols, so I put it on for the time being. And I got pulled over during a Mazda cruise for no front plate a couple weeks ago. hah.

fender roll and a tiny pull. still rub a bit but not as bad as before the roll
sooooooooooooo throwing on 215's up front and 225's in the back. so it won't looks so meaty and won't rub. tomorrow!

Yeah alot of the people on M3F are asshats. I love this forum though so much.
Yeah I eventually wanna tackle the whole headline in plaid project but that'll have to wait for another day lol.
