Clear on silver always looks good.

Question though, I just picked up a b5 s4 avant and the front bumper is in bad shape. The bumper you picked up was it OEM or aftermarket?

Reason I ask is that I don't want to spend 750 on an OE s4 bumper if i don't have to and didn't know if you knew of reputable aftermarket ones... Currently all my money is going into frankenturbos, 2.8 heads and the works to accommodate

That's fair... I agree that with the silver it works, but if it was Cactus green it would probably look odd.

Now you see I'm in the minority here. I think clear tails work well on just about every car

That's debatable... but I haven't seen clear tails on many cars. I'm thinking about making them completely clear and getting rid of at least the red parts.

I'll post up a photoshop of the tails without red.

Nice! Post some pictures of the avant.... what color? My bumper is OEM... the aftermarket bumpers are pretty much garbage. You can spend less than 750... you'll just have to look around.

Hahaha you are not alone in your opinion, everyone has been saying anything aftermarket is trash I guess I need to listen. It seems I am going to have to drop the bills on OEM...

I have a local paint shop that are honest folks,I am going to let them try and refinish the one I have. If it turns out unfixable so be it, then I'll go OEM.

I'll post some pictures or start a thread once it is decent! It's black with a nogaro interior with this sharp looking blue tinted real carbon fiber trim throughout the whole thing. It came with coilovers, a tune, and other odds and ends. Interior is mint exterior is pretty decent, minus the front bumper and a tiny bit of clear coat fade on the roof, but the body is completely straight, thank god. It's a dream car of mine, it was local, it had good bones, and it needed saving.

It is in the shop getting a full overhaul so it will be a week or so it's getting turbos, a clutch, injectors, new cam seals, motor mounts, new software, rs6 intercoolers as well as other bits and pieces. I am picking up so 18" Avus' for it this week.

I love your avant it inspired me to look for 18" super advans especially since my avant has Porsche 17z's up front.

And yeah I am on vortex same username!

I think the taillights look amazing as is! Maybe if the orange was red too? I'm not a super big fan of all clear with the colored bulbs. They do look great as is though so if you don't have to change them anytime soon don't!

What's wrong with the one you have? What bumper is it if it's not OEM?

It sounds like a sweet car... how many miles are on it? I actually almost just bought a set up Advans but decided against it.

Yeah I'm not changing them anytime soon... I'm working on some other things, but definitely thinking about it. But I might keep the orange and rid of the red. Not sure yet.
